I prefer their take on "Always on my mind." That's fab stuff. I also like their cover of "Where the Streets Have No Name." Not better than the original, mind you, but just as a complement to the original.

I hate "West End Girls" because my college roommate played it overandoverandoverandoverandover and I thought it was kind of annoying even before she did that, but I still love the Pet Shop Boys -- "Go West," "Can You Forgive Her?" and "I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind of Thing" are some of the best pop/dance songs ever.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find my copy of "Very" (shouldn't be too difficult -- it's bright orange and covered in textured dots) and get down.

I first heard "Yesterday, When I was Mad" at a time when I really needed to hear that kind of song. It was a wonderful, "Hell Yeah, Neil Tennant knows what I'm talking about!" moment.

I have a big chunk of Pet Shop Boys on my mp3 player. Their music is so timeless and they manage to put some serious, sometimes depressing lyrics to some fantastic beats.

I love them too (hence the screenname). When I was in high school, my little sister and I would drive around and sing to "Two Divided By Zero" - "divided by, divided by..."
I don't have their most recent cd, but "Release" was pretty good. I love "Home and Dry." I'd say my favorite is "What Have Done to Deserve This?"
