Yeah. I went to a few as a youngster. My parents were huge geeks and so were my best friends parents so we were swept in at an early age. From what I remember they were pretty fun. Tons of vendors tables, getting to meet your favorite stars, seeing people in strange costumes, etc. I don't know if I'd still have as much fun at one as I did when I was 12-13 but at the time they were a blast.

I always thought he looked like he could use a big meal or three. (I haven't seen him lately, though, come to think of it--hmm, I should rent Syriana.) His accent is teh sex.

Bout time he resurfaced. It took me a year to stop thinking he was the guy playing Baltar on BattleStar Galactica. Same here, when I first saw a shot of Baltar I was sure it was Alexander Siddig then I realized that it was James Callis from "Bridget Jones Diary." Alexander Siddig was also in MI:5 (Spooks in the UK) as a terrorist mole. He played a very sympathetic character. He's a wonderful actor and looks even hotter now than when he was on DS9.

He's so hot. I loved him in both DS9 and Syriana. What role does he play on 24?

He plays Assad, a big-time terrorist who's supposedly come to the U.S. to make peace.
Dr. Bashir has his own thread! I'm so happy. Most of you probably already know, but he was married to Nana Visitor, who played Major/Colonel Kira on ST: DS9 and they have a son named Django. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the name either. That's worse than Apple.

Yummy. Just yummy.
When he and Kiefer are on screen together, it's like a dessert buffet.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the name either. That's worse than Apple. Her other kid (not with Siddig) is named Buster, I think. At least she's consistently bad. Someone over on the Television Without Pity boards once claimed that Nana Visitor had been having an affair with Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko) when she broke it off for Siddig, and that's why their enmity at the end of the James Bond episode wasn't totally manufactured. I have NO idea if that's actually true, and it does seem a bit "too good to be true" gossip-wise. But if it is true... Avery Brooks and Siddig? Hell yeah! You go girl!

Also, Siddig's uncle is Malcolm MacLaren. Fun but true fact!
It would've been hilarious to see Mr. MacLaren do a guest spot on DS9. Perhaps as Bashir's wacko uncle, Alex Bashir. Likes cause unnecessary violence while listening to Beethoven. Heck I would've watched!
