Why didn't Julia get more shit from both the public and the media for not only breaking up a marriage, but being outright cruel by wearing that A LOW VERA shirt? You'd think that kind of behavior would ruin her 'America's Sweatheart' image, but i guest not. I wonder myself. I think she works very hard to suppress anything that makes her look bad. I wonder what price she has to pay to continue that silence. It must be pretty big because the media likes nothing more than to build people up to tear them down.

If she'd done it to somebody famous, it would have gotten her into trouble, but hardly anybody noticed because she did it to a nobody. If she'd broken up Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and then worn "A Low Aniston" t-shirt, it would have been much different.

Ugh. I just saw her in the new Dave Matthews Band video with some nasty-ass dread locks or something on her head. I never really cared about her one way or the other, but she CANNOT ruin my favorite bands' video! There's a scene where Dave almost kisses her! Man, what were they thinking?!

Biggest current female movie star? Yes. But, brilliant actress? NOOOOOOOOO! Is she currently the biggest female movie star? Since she's had the twins, I haven't really seen much of her, and before that she was in Oceans Whatevah. She may be the highest paid, but is she still the biggest?

She hasn't been in anything major for while, but she's still the most bankable actress by far. Also, she's probably the most famous one worldwide.

Unfortunately, I don't know who would top her as Most Famous Actress! I don't even know who would be the candidates.

Be on the lookout for commercials and print ads a la Gwyneth (sp?), nice time friendly jobs for a new mother, not just for the money which they don't need but to stay in the public eye.
ETA--I meant to correct a post I made on the previous page, I don't like her but I like looking at her in movies.

Gee, what a stretch. I thought she'd been doing that most of her career. (Oh, that wasn't nice! Bad, snarky Foxy!)
My brother and father rarely notice female celebrities one way or the other, but they've been calling her Ol' Horse Face for 15 years. I think she has pretty eyes and hair, but the rest of her ranges from "eh" (her smile) to "ick" (her repulsively smug, obnoxious, entitled, cheating wench, fake-sweetest-girl-next-door-act personality).
I'm hoping this "retirement" really does last 5 years or more. There've been several movies that I would have been happy to pay full price to see if SHE hadn't been in 'em. I never loved her, but she really got repulsive sometime around the Erin Brockovich press junkets. She so obviously believed her own hype. The whole stealing another woman's husband didn't impress me much, either. She needs to go away and be a mom to those soon-to-be-fatherless children. (You just know he's going to find a new star(let) on a movie set one of these days. What goes around comes around, Julie.)

While that would indeed be delicious karma, I have to wonder. Despite Julia's protestations about his remarkability ("That is, he is a man to be remarked upon..."), who would have him? He ain't a catch for anyone but Julia, for whom half his appeal no doubt lay in his unavailability. They both suck.
