Caught him on Jay Leno the other night and in addition to the horrific wailing, wow, he really is an unfortunate-looking fella. So very awkward. I think the problem is he's just too tall and gawky for the pixie-esque jumping around. One needs to be petite for that sort of thing, imo. Tom Cruise could pull it off, but this horse-faced goober just comes off like Mary Katherine Gallagher. So clumsy. I kept expecting him to fall over a drum kit and then through a foam wall. So, is he for real, or a parody act? 15 minutes minus 12. We wont have long to put up with this horseshit performer

He's for real, but I think a bit tongue in cheek.
I honestly can't see him becoming that successful in the U.S. - he's just too camp. Kind of like Robbie Williams. So you can at least take solace in that.

Ok thanks for having my future interests in mind but no. I know what I like and it's not some temporary lapse of judgement- it's my taste in music. I like fun, poppy make you dance in your chair while listening music and Mika totally provides. Plus he's I actually find him really cute. I also don't see why him blatantly stating his sexual preferences is potent to the enjoyment of his music? Whether he's gay or straight or whatever, I dont' really care, I think he's hot and makes excellent warm-up music, and that's all I need in my pop stars.

Clementine - they are really pleased about it - they've got a little picture up of him on their website saying he wrote the song for them. (Must stop using stoopid Brit slang.)
gingerdangerous - ITA. I'm not interested in who he wants to sleep with, I just like his music. In any case, it's not like he's pretending to be straight and married to a zombie with a fake pillow baby. TC time - I still love to listen to my old Kylie and Jason albums, and I've even been enjoying a blast of Matt Bianco nostalgia from my childhood recently. So I think I will always like Mika. His CD is the first on my birth plan list.
Oh, and I think he's gorgeous too. Although apparently I do have weird taste in men.

Aww, I'm surprised by the lack of Mika love. I've had this CD for a couple of days and absolutely love it. I put it on whenever I'm feeling down, which is pretty often. So far Erase is my favourite because I was recently dumped and I'm constantly wishing I did things differently.
I really could care less about Mika's sexuality and I don't feel he should feel compelled to come out. His orientation is his business, not ours. If he is gay it's his decision to come out or keep his sexual orientation to himself.

Why does he remind me of Sanjaya.
Seriously this man is "Sanjaya if he had a record deal".
I can only understand any popularity he might have to be latent Sanjaya trainwreck appeal.

I heard the "Grace Kelly" song for the first time about a week and a half ago, and I got it off iTunes cuz I thought it was just the quirkest cutest song I'd heard in a while. I seriously want to blow my brains out now cuz I can't get the fucker out of my head.

I like that Grace Kelly song, but that's not saying much. It's party time for me around when the radio station is NOT playing Kool and the Gang circa 1986. Count your blessings people.
