Awwww! I am sad that he's died, because I always thought he was pretty funny. But for whatever reason, I thought he had already passed on. My bad, and RIP Charles.

I've got to confess I thought he had died years ago. He used to crack me up on "Match Game" with Brett (Britt?) Somers.
Must admit that when I was a kid I had NO CLUE that CNR and Paul Lynde were gay. I just thought they were very snarky & funny.
I have to believe that if they were alive they'd be posting on CPMCOG.

I was just watching my dvds of Lidsville last week and while I know he hated the character of Hoodoo, I still love it after all these years. RIP Mr. Reilly.

OMG...Lidsville! K.Barrett, that takes me back. Lidsville is the koo-koo-kookiest, Lidsville is the kick-kick-kickiest.
I think the producers of Lidsville (who I believe also produced H.R. Pufnstuf??) did some serious drugs.
Do you remember the Bugaloos too?

And don't forget the Banana Splits!
Those guys were seriously wasted. And ABC actually let them create children's programming, which means most of the suits were probably wasted as well.
CNR really fit into the surreal, kooky atmosphere of those shows. I'm sure he would have preferred something a little more dignified, but look at all the happy memories we have of him on Lidsville.

Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, Land of the Lost, all of them. It's probably pretty sad, but I can't help it. Those shows were such a trip and they still crack me up. My only disappointment was that I never got to go to their theme park as it was only open for a short time.

"How's that for a Topper???!" hated the show but he was so cool. I used to think that the entire Match Game crew must have been drunk or high or both!
