God, what the hell is wrong with him? Is it drugs? Mental illness? Both? He really is falling apart.

Well, that's the last of his career.

It is amazing about 6 years ago this guy had it all, starring in Indiana Jones and Transformers. I know! He was well-positioned to be a potential Hollywood megastar, destined to be a future (pre-crazy) Tom Cruise or Harrison Ford. Center of the universe stuff. Then he threw it all away.

He had a really messed up childhood, coming back to haunt him now, to think 6 years ago he was being considered to take over the reigns from Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones.

There are a lot of actors/actresses in the acting business that have had messed up childhoods. Some have learnt to cope better with it than others. The self destructive behaviour that they show, is their way of trying to deal with it, when it crops up during their adult life. The only way forward for them is therapy and lots of it, but they have to understand that they have problems in the first place. It's not just Hollywood though, as childhood traumas affect a large majority of the population these days.

And yet, he'll keep getting cast.
Curious for Fury promo to start. Brad Pitt is fairly infamous for not liking to waste time or fuck around on set. I can't imagine he'd be entertained by Shia's shenanigans.

I don't think it's just these days, probably always. I don't think people have more trauma today than they had maybe 100 years ago.

Gawker has an eyewitness account from someone who was there:

Huh, interesting to hear the account.
Drunks like that can seem okay at events, but they are actually a time-bomb waiting to go off. It's the club's right to throw out someone who is obviously intoxicated, so I get why they did it. I can't tell you how many times I have seen that happen at a play or festival or concert. Sometimes people are "done" for the night, and just need to leave before they do something bad. It sounds like things escalated quickly with him crying, spitting on cops, being put in a face mask, and then using a homophobic slur. So, not so congenial when told to chill the out. There's the explosion. That pretty much explains why he needed to leave.

There's a report of him chasing a homeless guy around before the arrest. He thought the guy took his hat. So dildo was definitely drunk as a skunk.
