This thing creeped me out.
I think there were a few days between the two accidents. She's shown visiting his family later at the hospital when they find out the little boy is brain dead and offering money to help them.
Another thing about the spirits mistaking him for her was that the little boy's last name also happened to be Lopes (or Lopez). That was freaky as hell.

I am so creeped out right now. I didn't know any of that.
Yes, she was really pretty. I haven't seen the documentary, but I always liked her.

Yeah, she was incredibly beautiful--I couldn't believe that she was 30, she looked 21!
All of the girls from TLC seem very smart.

She was super pretty. Gorgeous skin.
I saw the documentary and was struck by, what seemed to me, her knowledge of her predestination as a star. I mean, that girl was crazy talented at such a young age and she just seemed to know that she was going to make it big.
What struck me as odd was the title card that said she was the only one who died in the wreck despite being the only one wearing a seat belt. However, the footage of her driving right before the crash didn't show her wearing a belt at all. Maybe she only had on a lap belt, I don't know -- but it was a late model car and I would suspect it would have come equipped with a shoulder strap as well.

How creepy. I missed the doc but I hope they show it again. God I was such a huge TLC fan.

I haven't watched the documentary yet, but just reading about some of the stuff here has thoroughly creeped me out. Not sure I want to watch it now. God I was such a huge TLC fan. Same here. That's another reason why I don't think I could watch the doc.

That's strange that the doc said she was wearing her seatbelt - I read somewhere else that the reason why she was the only one who died was because she was thrown from the vehicle (it rolled over several times). You'd think the seatbelt would have kept her inside.
But it is super weird that she died from traumatic head injuries and it sounds like the same thing might have happened to that little boy in the previous accident.

This thing creeped me out. Seeing all these posts freak me out, and I haven't even seen the documentary yet. I'm not sure I even want to. Her death seems even more tragic than Aaliyah's sudden death.

I won't watch it. It was hard enough to watch the updated TLC:Behind the Music.

I watched most of the documentary. It was pretty disturbing, not just her death and the events leading up to it but when she talked about developing different personalities, starting out with Lisa and 'Nikki', but a third personality to mediate between the two. Not to mention the irratic behavior like basically taking off to play 'Tarzan and Jane' with her boyfriend.
By the end it seemed like she was pretty much off the rails but watching the doc you really wonder whether anyone tried to step in and get her some kind of help.
