So I was in Pizza Hut tonight picking up a pizza because they have stopped delivering because of the high gas prices, grrrrrr, and anyways, an En Vogue song was playing over the loudspeakers. I was wondering what ever happened to them. They were enormously popular when I was in high school, and then......gone. I remember some drama when they fired one girl and tried to continue on as a trio...... but that is all I know. Can anyone enlighten me?

I'd like to know too. Last week I heard "Never Gonna Get It" for the first time in years, and damn, that was an awesome song.

I love "Free Your Mind"
Prejudice. Wrote a song about it. Like to hear it? Here it goes.
They're all really pretty but I thought that Dawn Robinson was adorable. I think she may have been the one to leave, hoping for a solo career. Never heard much about it, though.

They made a brief resurgence as a trio in 97 with that song "Don't Let Go". That was a pretty good song IMO. Wasn't one of the girls on Hanging with Mr. Cooper?

So, instead: I wear tight clothing, high heeled shoes; it doesn't mean that I'm a prostitute! Heh. They were actually a bit before my time, but they were very talented.

Y'all are reading my mind--our local pop station's "9 at 9" today was all music from 1992, featuring "Never Gonna Get It" as the number one song on this date that year. That was a cool video.
I was wondering whatever happened to them, too.

Dammit they kicked all kinds of ass. I loved how I never noticed one getting more attention than the others. I remember being 4yrs old watching their Hold On video and wanting to be the fifth En Vogue member.

I loved these girls, Never Gonna Get It is still one of the best break-up songs ever. And no one member did get more attention, although Dawn did get a mention - from I think Q Tip - at the start of TLC's CrazySexyCool CD (...used to have a crush on Dawn from En Vogue). Each member took turns being the lead singer on each track.

But isn't it funny that with all the equal billing they still didn't get along because at least one wanted to be known as the star of the group.
