But Simba and Nala had the same father.
(I'm not proud of that.)

Wait, didn't Simba and Nala get together and have the lion cub he holds up at the end, completing the circle of life?

Simba and Nala would most likely have been related through their mothers. All lionesses in prides are related. There's not always just a single male in a pride (Scar was hanging about enough for every other lion to know who he was) and lionesses will sometimes have a one-time fling with an unaffiliated male.
On topic, I hope Halle's life calms the heck down. One kid on her drama wagon is bad enough but I'd hate to see it happen to two.

At least Nahla will now have someone to commiserate with. I hope the baby is healthy and his parents have learned from their past mistakes. I know her new series is slated to just be a summer series but maybe her willingness to due a TV series signals that she accepts that she's going to continue living in the U.S.

It really says something when the most common reaction to a baby being born is "oh, poor baby". I really hope Halle grows up and becomes capable of living without drama, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm also curious as to what her relationship with a son will be like, particularly should he ever do anything to displease her.

Thanks for the correction. (Although I always preferred to think Scar was a lonely virgin.)

I am shocked that she is moving to tv, even though I recognize that she hasn't had many movie hits in recent years, except for the Call. I never saw her stepping down to television. It is a downward career trajectory for her.

I think she's always been a realist when it comes to the opportunities available for women of color so I'm not surpised that she would do a TV series. Pre-Monster's Ball, TV movies are what really got her noticed for a good while, not her movie roles.

Ehh, he probably got some hyena action on the side..... what....?
Oh! Topic. Ummm... Yay for baby making? Though I predict more drama than you could shake a Jerry Springer guest at before the kid's out of diapers.

Maybe she wants to do TV because it's a more stable schedule and she can be with her kids?
I bet that baby gets a French name - just in case anyone forgets that she wants to live there so badly.
