Same here. It was funny and I laughed, but my cynical, cold heart just didn't buy it 100%. And yeah, I have no problem with it being made up or exaggerated for comedic purposes. I'm a huge Fallon fan, so that helps.

Not that I have proof or even a problem with it, but I got the feeling this was made up. It was cute, but I didn't believe it. I felt the same way about the Jennifer Lawrence/Jennifer Lopez dance story the JLo corroborated. I think celebs are all hyper aware of going viral these days, especially when they appear on his show. I don't think Fallon is that good of an actor (especially given his failed attempt at a movie career) and in watching them interact, she did a lot of hair touching and giggling--I think the crush hasn't totally died.

Heh. I second that, GF. I was going to comment, "I don't think Jimmy would lie to us..." but then I thought, "I don't think Jimmy could lie to us!" Sorry, Jimmy. Love ya!

Well, I totally bought it and I think it was genuine. I agree that Jimmy isn't that good of an actor, and Nicole seemed over-the-top giggly. Plus it would just be a weird story to make up.

know Jimmy Kimmel's show is more known for fake viral stories, so there's that to Jimmy Fallon's credit. Believe me, I want it to be true, but I don't think it is. I really do want to live in a world where goofy things like this can happen.

Nicole Kidman having to ask a friend to set her up with Jimmy Fallon, of all people? That's really funny, and very humanizing. I guess after you've been married to Tom Cruise anything looks good.

I believed it. Jimmy Fallon is a terrible actor, who always broke character when he was on SNL. No way he could fake it. You could GIF those precious seconds when it dawns on him that he could have had Nicole Kidman.

Believe me, I want it to be true, but I don't think it is. I really do want to live in a world where goofy things like this can happen. Remember when Heather Locklear dated David Spade? Yes, that happened. A possible Nicole Kidman/Jimmy Fallon pairing seems less goofy and head-scratching in comparison.

Heather Locklear and David Spade had a certain logic--David Spade was kind of a star-struck weirdo on tv with a middling film career playing, essentially, himself, and Heather Locklear is also kind of Heather Locklear who had a tv career of her own. It was definitely strange, but they were both tv people who inhabited the same planet. But point taken.
