Sad News. Caleb, Colton's fiance from Blood Vs. Water was killed in a train derailment in Alabama.

I read about it this morning. This is so tragic. I feel just awful for his family. And Colton's family.

Nooo! He was definitely the better half of Colton! He was so sweet.

One of my co-workers told me about this. What a shame.

Is Survivor going to be on next fall? I haven't heard anything about it. I thought it was a bad sign when the finale was aired on Wednesday, instead of a Sunday night event.

Yeah it is definitely coming back this fall. I think it starts in September although they haven't announced the premiere date yet. It doesn't get spectacular ratings anymore but it is consistently solid. I don't think it's going to be cancelled anytime soon. Next season is another blood vs. water one. There is a rumour that the twinnies from The Amazing Race are going to be on. If you watched TAR you'll know how horrifying that is.

I don't remember if they've officially announced it yet, but I'm pretty sure it will be on September 24th, as the 17th has the Big Brother and Extant finales.

The twinnies? Isn't Survivor a little too outdoorsy for them?
It has been renewed for I believe the next 4 "seasons" or 2 years, but Probst contract I'm pretty sure is coming up.

Time to bite the bullet and have a season in a cold weather climate. The whole "casual viewers won't watch without beautiful people in swimsuits" argument has actually become more stale than the show itself. The second immunity idol worked for a while, Exile Island was okay, Redemption Island was a bomb, and all the stunt/gimmick casting has become warmed over so quickly.
It would make Probst's skin crawl, but the best thing they could do is go back to the original format: accept applications and cast real people whom might not be as "TV friendly" as all the bland recruited "actors" but the fans will be able to relate to. Even do a remake of the original and go back to the very first location in Borneo. All the same challenges and settings. Otherwise, this show is already becoming the Nickleback of television.
