Kini definitely got robbed this last week. The speed at which he works--and works well--is incredible. And his dress looked very Dita-ish to me. I hoped someone had created a #KiniWuzRobbed hashtag and had it trending on Twitter because I agree. He made 3/4 of the team's looks. I will give Dita this: She did point out during the judges' deliberation that Kini's look was more "wedding", which was the point of the challenge, no? I still don't understand why the win was awarded to Sean! Interesting that Amanda said she doesn't like team challenges. This coming from a contestant who was originally featured in an entire season that focused on teams.

Which is where her dislike probably comes from.

I liked the idea of Korina's look this week, but I actually thought the jacket looked very stiff and ill-fitting. It made her model look like a linebacker! Also, I am getting a little sick of Sean. His dress was pretty, but there is something smug about him that gets on my nerves now.

I was surprised at how much I liked Korina's outfit. When she first showed her Southwestern dog blankets to Tim, I was like WHAT? But she really turned out a dramatic look. I was happy she won mainly because Sean was getting to be a little insufferable.
Amanda. She probably wouldn't bother me so much if she weren't so wildly overpraised. The judges, sans Zac Posen, were on some weapons-grade CRACK to praise her mess the way they did. She is kind of sliding toward Gretchen/Anya territory.

She is kind of sliding toward Gretchen/Anya territory. It was a plain black catsuit with a gauzy piece of material thrown over it and they loved it? I just...can't. EW says it better than I can:

Ahhhhhhh! I had forgotten, or blocked out of my brain, Nina's "it would look good on Instagram" line. Since when does Nina Garcia give a shit?

Amanda's jumpsuit with Kleenex jacket was so fug. Thank God Zac Posen called it out for the wack mess that it was. It feels like the producers have given Nina a list of buzzwords that she's obligated to spit out. Last week, she started a sentence with the word "hashtag". Oy vey.

I was confused as to why Korina was pulled into the bottom for the judges comments. In the recent past, if you had immunity, you were just waived through but maybe slapped on the wrist on the way out. (See: Amanda, earlier this season.)

As much as I think Sean is a little smug, he was really the only person who worked creatively with the "Rainway" thing (as stupid as I thought that was). Nobody else really did anything I cared for.
It was a huge shame to see Fade implode. I've liked a lot of his work.

It was a huge shame to see Fade implode. I've liked a lot of his work. I was dubious as to whether Sean's idea with the dyes would work, but I've got to give it to him and say that was really great. But, I am glad that Kini got acknowledged as the co-winner. His upside-down umbrella was pretty ingenious, too, and damn if he doesn't sew fast. I was disappointed that Fade went, but his dress was soooo boring that he really didn't give them much of a choice. Between the dress and the edit he got, with his husband asking him when he was coming home, he had a bulls-eye on his back.
