Alexander's a mouth-breather. It's very distracting.
They need to stop robbing Kini and stop praising Amanda and Sandhya.

I was confused as to why Korina was pulled into the bottom for the judges comments. In the recent past, if you had immunity, you were just waived through but maybe slapped on the wrist on the way out. (See: Amanda, earlier this season.) I was wondering the same thing!

As much as I think Sean is a little smug, he was really the only person who worked creatively with the "Rainway" thing (as stupid as I thought that was). Nobody else really did anything I cared for. It was a huge shame to see Fade implode. I've liked a lot of his work. Also, Tim Gunn had already used his save! As much as I like Char (which is a lot), I think Fade would have been worthy of a Tim Gunn save. Spoiler{Spoiler - speculation etc. }I saw pictures of the Fashion Week collections on Tom and Lorenzo's site. I was wondering whether or not Fade had reached the top three because of the nature of his designs. They were good, but I couldn't see Tim Gunn co-signing on many of them. I guess that question has been answered! LOL At least Fade will get more exposure. As much as I think Sean is a little smug, he was really the only person who worked creatively with the "Rainway" thing (as stupid as I thought that was). Nobody else really did anything I cared for. Okay, so I'm not the only one annoyed by Sean at this point. I'm glad that the judges decided to give both Sean and Kini the win. I wonder why they didn't do that with the unconventional wedding challenge. From what we were shown, the judges were also split between Sean and Kini. I liked Kini's design as well. I disagreed with whatever judge said that she/he didn't like the hat. I could totally see Lady Gaga wearing this outfit. If that's not avant garde, then what is? Alexander's a mouth-breather. It's very distracting. I don't understand why Alexander keeps winning "fan favorite". Why not Char or Fade? Even Amanda would be less of a head-scratcher. People may not like the idea of teams on Project Runway (it seems to invoke lots of drama), but a Sean and Kini team would probably wipe the floor with just about every other contestant this season. That was probably like one of the best pairings on the run of the show.

I just now watched last week's episode. OMG! I feel so cheesy, but I literally had tears in my eyes when Sean's dress went down the rainway. That was one of the biggest "wow" moments I have ever seen on the show. I LOVED it!! But I was very glad that Kini got co-winner, because his look was great as well. I just loved the thought and risk and feeling that was put into Sean's dress. I actually rewound the DVR and watched his model walk like three times. Freakin' great.

I wasn't so wowed by it, to be honest. I expected more of a kaleidoscope effect, the way it was hyped up. It just was a white dress bleeding a bit of yellow and red and I kept waiting for the big reveal. It was not so much a design as it was a gimmick, and something that could only be worn once. I agree he took a risk of it not working at all, but it was far less of a design than what Kini pulled off. I thought that was fantastic.
Pity about Fade, he was one of my favorites. That twit Sandya and her Clown School aesthetic should have been gone well before him. Her obnoxious line about how she doesn't evoke any other designer was just arrogant. Not sure I'd feel it's a compliment to know that no-one before me was nuttier than I am.

I don't think I've "gotten" any of Sandya's designs. Her aesthetic clearing isn't my taste. I think her stuff looks amateurish. I can see why the other designers are pissed she's doing well.

I wasn't wowed either. So the dress weeped paint - whoopee. A bad dye job could accomplish the same thing. Using yellow just made it look peed on. At least Kini got a win, too bad he had to share it. "NO DESIGNER HAS EVER BEEN COMPARED TO MEEEEEEE!" Maybe because what you create is crap and no legitimate designer would send said crap down the runway? Clown pants and plastic pinwheels aren't avant garde.

I kept wondering where Fade went- all of a sudden he seemed like a caricature, and he hadn't seemed that way up until this week.
What's up with Emily? I'm either looking at her stuff going "huh?" or thinking it just looks dated. Too bad, because she has a really cool personal style.
Sandya's strength seems to be that she can explain the hell out of why she did what she did, and the judges give her points for having a distinct pov.
I really hope Kini gets some love soon, because he deserves it.

I wished Sean had used at least one more color of dye for that dress. I don't mind the dress was meant to be worn once; I guess that goes with an avante garde challenge.

Throughout the season, I've gone back and forth on Sandhya. It seems like anytime I like her work, she ends up safe or in the middle, and every time I dislike it the judges cream themselves. Her avant-garde look was... not successful, but I thought there was a kernel of an interesting idea to it. And she still annoys me less than Amanda In a way, this is exactly what I liked about Sean's dress. There's probably never going to be another "Rainway" challenge, so I liked that he immediately seized on the unique element of the challenge. To me, the simplicity of it was SO refreshing compared to the "crap glued onto other crap" / "dominatrix lite" thing so many designers default to for avant-garde.
