Her website is launching any day now, and will be called "Preserve." I gotta say, don't think I care to see how she 'curates' her life. I think there's a niche for 20-something lifestyle stuff, but I don't know that she is the one who's going to do it well. Is that really her intended audience? What will happen once Blake ages out of this demographic? Does Blake have a cookbook for cake pops, etc? Does she do catering on the side?? I looked at things differently. First, Blake knows Martha like that?! Second, Blake was paying homage to the one who offers lifestyle advice like a boss.

I think Martha and Blake are quite buddy-buddy, or as much as you can be with Martha, anyway. Martha recently did the "cold water/ice challenge" that's going around on Facebook right now, where you have to dump cold water over your head, then pick other people to do the same, and she chose Blake as one of her challenges, along with Ellen and Gwyneth. I was surprised she didn't pick Jen Garner.

Hm. You know, I'm not sure what demographic she's aiming for, but she's 26. So it's not like people 30 and over are going to be taking her lifestyle advice that seriously (I would assume not), and I doubt she is looking to nab teen readers. So I would guess people in their mid to late 20s? Oh, and I meant cake pops. She showed up on this ladies' site awhile back and demonstrated her mad decorating skillz.

I don't think I like living in a world where Blake Lively gets three vogue covers by age 26.

She showed up on this ladies' site awhile back and demonstrated her mad decorating skillz. Cute story! But I'm thinking she's changed a bit personally in the past 3.5 years with marrying Ryan and all. (But I'd like to think she hasn't) However, I couldn't look at those photos without saying, "Close yer yapper, Blake." She posses like a 15 year old girl in them.

Wow, they've already been together nearly 4 years? I'm kind of shocked she hasn't had a kid yet.
I kind of love her. She seems really nice and I hope for her sake that RR isn't the controlling dbag he is rumored to be.

I do think that Blake is onto something. I have friends in their 20's who are really into the homemade stuff and it sounds like it's not really about her life, and more about connecting with what's out there and providing the platform to share it with a larger audience. My guess is that the reaction to her cake pop visit provided the impetus for her site. Connecting with "real" people and seeing what's going on in their lives and kitchens is very anti-Goop, as she alluded to, and a much smarter approach. I wish her success though I fear it will make money matters very messy when they divorce.

Yeah, that's the one thing that makes me think her project could work. She's nice. I've never heard a bad thing about her (well, except for some unfortunate dating rumors). She has a fun bubbly personality. She basically only can play that personality -- I never bought her as a hardened hooker in The Town, for example -- but that personality could her serve her well in selling a lifestyle blog.

Well, she could use an editor and a more-relaxed grip on the comma key, but I will admit, as someone who had less than no interest in Goop and thinks that Pinterest is a sign of the Idiocracy, I'll totally be checking this out.
