Aw, I'm totally charmed by her. She is the Anti-Goop indeed. Good luck, kiddo!

Okay. Right now I see an "about" statement, a philanthropy tag with info on an org that looks like it does good work for homeless youth, and a shop tag where I can buy $200+ jeans and $400 dresses. Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this yet.
ETA: Why is the site so dark? Also, the layout and font is kind of dated.
ETA 2: I am way overthinking this now but... why Preserve? That name makes me think of jam. Would it have been too cheesy to play off of her maiden name? It's a livestyle blog... and her name is Lively...
ETA 3: Letter of vagueness aside, this soft launch really demonstrates what this project is about, too. There are dozens of artisans under that tag, with TONS of products you can buy on the site in no particular order. But there's only one charity org. And no other content. It's weird.

The aesthetic and stated goals aren't GOOPy, but the prices sure are.

The prices are pretty Goopy, yeah, and the utter lack of information on the products (e.g., I can't wear earrings that don't have sterling, gold, or surgical steel posts, and it would be nice if this information were provided), beyond the artisanal bullshit, is seriously annoying.
Also, the markup is insane -- I just looked up the Timex Weekender watch that's for sale on her site for $180 and discovered that the watch sells for less than $60 on Timex's site. (I guess the special "handworn leather strap" is the reason for the markup? Whatever.)

Yeah. Plus, it's like... really random. There's a $2,000 light installation, a $200 bandana, a $200 votive, and some gourmet ketchup. That's a lot of random. And why should I care about this stuff? They better get some articles or something up on the site soon... this is sort of a WTF? to me.

That's too bad- I was kind of envisioning it like that print magazine Mary Jane's Farm- which I adore. It's all about upcycling, gardening, organic living and "glamping." It's a really fun and informative read that is pretty inspiring without all the Pinterest pressure. Hmm...I have no time for such pricy stuff.

I'm just laughing over this whole thing. Her site's hopelessly random and useless. I see this crashing and burning fast. There is no loyal Blake Lively following. Her thirst for any kind of fame is so blatant. Acting fizzled out, she tried make-up/fashion. She continued fading into the background even more, so now she's a lifestyle guru. Whatever.

I like the site. She's managed to make me want to peruse it like a magazine; all of the New Orleans stuff helps. Best of luck to her on this!

I like the site too - I guess New Orleans is the current theme, but can't figure out why. Her "editor's letter" makes it clear she knows she's clueless but I still don't understand why she's part of this. I'm sure she's being used more as a figurehead for this project and isn't the main driver behind it. It reminds me of Garden & Gun in website form.

She's spent a lot of time in New Orleans filming and Ryan has done movies there as well. They filmed Green Lantern there.
