Also, back in 2010 her people were behind a "leaked" list of credits on her then-forthcoming album which listed Bowie as a co-producer, guitarist and singer on the album. Bowie denied it. In fact they'd never met. I never heard that collaboration story before. Bowie's denial was suspiciously... firm. I'm in the camp looking forward to Gaga's performance. I can see how some might think there were more appropriate/ logical choices for a tribute. However, she was very vocal about Bowie being a big influence on her and she has a history of being a strong live performer. Just in terms of being interesting and good, I think she's a great choice.

It's not that she was bad per se, but I just feel he deserved someone better...or at least a few other artists to truly celebrate his many incarnations. This seemed more like a GaGa performance piece rather than a tribute.

Her David Bowie cosplay needs some work.
I don't know what that cosmetic surgery was that she had a couple of years ago but it made her less attractive. She used to be interesting but pretty, especially in neutral makeup, but even without all the crazy stuff going on, she just looks weird now.

The shoes are what I'm disliking the most.

My good friend on facebook said she looked like a budget Bette Midler, and that was an insult to Bette. I would agree.

Wasn't a fan of the Bowie tribute.
Enjoyed her rendition of the NA, though.

Bowie's son was not impressed by the tribute and tweeted this: It's the Oxford Dictionary definition of "gaga" and it's a pretty spot-on assessment of that performance. Somebody said Gaga's followers are now going after him on twitter. I can't tell whether that's true or not because my twitter knowledge is basic, but that sounds typical of them. Probably the only people who irritate me more than Gaga herself are her horrible stans.
Bowie's producer Tony Visconti kept quiet about Gaga, but did tweet that Kendrick Lamar's performance was the best of the night and that Bowie would have loved it.

That is a super classy way to do a burn. I dunno, I know you have to do more than one song to make it a tribute, but medleys are inherently cheesy.
