Maggie's accent is OTT. It's like someone in a Minnesota amateur production of The Glass Menagerie. I think the actress is British spent part of her childhood in the US.

The group needs to get back together, I miss the family dynamic. I can't wait to see what happened to Darryl and Carol.
Abraham's flashback seemed weirdly incomplete at the beginning. I assumed his family was freaked out by his violence, but now that I know he was killing the people who raped them, I question why the wife would run away; he's the lesser of two evils at that point.

I think Lincoln worked with a dialogue coach; I'm not sure 'Maggie' did and isn't she a Brit as well? I got the impression that as this was GA vs the deep(er) South, they were lax on accents. I'm no linguist, but I think there's some sort of connection between the British and Southern accents. Some of the best, least distracting Southern accents I've heard in TV and film have come from British actors--and Maggie's isn't one of them! She needs to use Andrew Lincoln's dialect coach. I agree -- since it's Georgia they can probably get by with anything from almost no accent (Atlanta area) to deep drawl (I had a coworker from Columbus, GA who sounded like Scarlett O'Hara). Is Eugene supposed to be Texan? Because that's another accent that bugs. He sounds like Elvis. It works with the character, but people from Houston generally don't talk like that. If everyone is going "get some ass" during this particular apocalypse (as Abraham so eloquently put it during this lovely episode), then they totally need to find someone for this poor high-strung lesbian survivor if she isn't killed off soon (which would be fine with me because she's pretty boring). Atlanta's too far gone, but they might find a few open-minded gals who haven't turned in Athens....she needs to convince them to "do a sweep" at UGA.

Now that I think about it, one of the things that bothers me about Maggie's accent is that it doesn't jive with Beth and Hershel's. It's definitely bad Scarlet O'Hara.

According to Wikipedia, she was born in the US and spent most of her childhood in New Jersey before moving to the UK when she was 13. In the interviews I've seen of her she has only the barest trace of a British accent.

Maggie and Glen were once strong characters now they just seem to be along for the ride.

I guess one of my complaints is that there are just too damn many characters right now and they keep adding more. The zombies need to cull a few of the less interesting ones - Abraham, Rosita, gay gal whose name I can't even remember, and Sasha would be at the top of my list. Beth I can take or leave - at least she's giving Carol and Darryl a chance to be badass together.

So Amy Winehouse was alive and well and living in the Zombie Apocalypse as Abraham's wife?

Who knew a episode featuring two of the top five badasses could be so boring? Jebus. I was so happy when Noah showed up to save us from the monotony. I guess the van crash was pretty tense, but all the lead up and flashbacks were yawn inducing.
I couldn't tell if Carol got hit by the car on purpose or not.
And as an aside, the lighting people on this show need to be shot. Two weeks in a row, I've had to put all the lights out in my house to watch, and I still could make anything out. Grr....
