Rick: captain of the-not-fucking-around-crew I know, right?! Seriously, there has been a huge turnaround with Rick this season, he's back to being Mr. Badass and he's actually using his freaking brain. I hope he keeps it up because it's far more interesting than all his other iterations.

If you didn't know all that Rick has been through, you'd look at him like we did the governor or Gareth. They were talking about this last night on TD, to us he's the hero of the show, but in this world he looks pretty evil, running people down and shooting them in the head. He doesn't have time to be compassionate or figure out what's going on. You seem like a threat? He will put you down without hesitation to protect his "family." Is it much different than the governor squashing any threat or dissention in Woodbury? Rick is getting close to that extreme.

Yeah, I thought that talk on TD last night was really interesting, that basically Rick IS Shane now--Shane was just ahead of the curve. Rick and Co. don't have the luxury of just randomly trusting people or being able to 'talk it out.' Same with any survivors. It's actually a good example of how humanity continues to break down and morals are re-defined. That's become far more dangerous than the walkers. I find that's what keeps me watching, because there's only so many ways to make another zombie battle interesting.

I was pretty bored with this episode. I like cuckoo crazy Rick, so that was good and entertaining. I just have no feelings for Beth and was kind of meh on her death.
Here is hoping for improvements in the second half.

I didn't care for Beth, but the actors playing Daryl and Maggie really sold their grief for her.
I wish the episode had actually been about the (enormous) cast instead of the new priest guy's weirdness and the hospital cops drama which involved characters we never even met. We got 5 mins of Rick and 5 mins of Beth's death/reaction. The rest was nothing relevant.

I can't see Rick doing that to anyone in his own group.

I saw a meme that was a picture of Maggie and it said "Beth's been dead to me ever since I met Glenn". It's funny because it's true.

I felt more emotion for Beth during the Talking Dead than I did for her final story arc. Still, sad to see her go because she's infinitely better than Gabriel or Noah. They should have left Gabriel at the hospital.
I did find it funny that no one wanted to go with them after Rick offered. I guess the hospital isn't all that bad? lol

Shane also tried to rape Lori at the CDC, he put his gunsights on Rick and was about to shoot until Dale busted him, he threatened Dale's life, and he lured Rick out into a field to murder him. Rick is a badass, Shane was a thug.
