Beth was annoying. The only positive out of the hospital was Noah. She was especially with her non singing. But of course the actress is pursuing singing. Of course.
Jessie and her bland ass need to go too. I hope it happens like the comics.

So, no one in America at the start of the zombie outbreak had ever seen a zombie movie? Everyone was pretty naive.

I found the spinoff premiere boring as hell, though with some enjoyable and attractive actors. TWD premiere sucked me right in, despite the fact that I watched it NOT for the zombies. This episode had me wishing for less boring chatting and more zombies (the inverse of my common criticism of TWD).

I agree. Boring, boring, boring. It gets maybe another two episodes from me.

It can only get better, I'm hoping.

Really? I was entertained. The teenagers were interchangeable, but Curtis and Dickens were doing a pretty good job, and both can act, so we have good stuff to look forward to.
I also found it suspenseful, because we know the rules, but they don't, and they have no idea just how bad things are going to go.
It also seemed very L. A. I'm ready for more.

So, no one in America at the start of the zombie outbreak had ever seen a zombie movie? Everyone was pretty naive. The producers have said that The Walking Dead universe takes place in a version of our world where zombie lore doesn't exist. When they're confronted with zombies/walkers, it's brand new to them. The mother is way too old to have Madison as her first name (it didn't become a thing until the mid to late 80's). It took me out of the show whenever they used her name. Madison (ugh) and Travis annoyed me, their reactions to things felt off at best and often obnoxiously wrong. Go to the drug den alone? Not report a massive pool of blood and guts to the police? Come back with just the wife and still not call the police? Major horror film fail in just those two scenes. Even if Night of the Living Dead doesn't exist in their world, Friday the 13th and Halloween surly still must. Nick and Tobias are the most clued in right now and I like the actor playing Nick (he's the son of Stephen "Stannis" Dillane who is great; good acting runs in the family).

Holy shit he is Stannis' son? He was also young Voldemort in the Half Blood Prince.
I was entertained. This is the beginning of this outbreak so yeah 100 walkers are not going to just attack the school or anything. Shit is getting real judging by the drug dealer thing at the end.

Let's see where this show goes, I was prepared for a slow moving episode, it improved by the end somewhat. I was for whatever reason preoccupied with Nick's hair, I wanted to wash it and put a comb through it.

I've heard from an insider who worked on it that it does, indeed, get better.
