Season Six trailer debuted. Possibly NSFW. We're entering uncharted territory guys! We're going beyond the books! Most exciting bits from the trailer-- 1. Everything with Davos. How did he sneak in under the radar and become one of my favorites? 2. Possible Tower of Joy flashback! 3. Wildlings vs Boltons. 4. Bran and the Night's King! Meh, verging on I don't care-- 1. Cersei, Jamie, twincest. 2. All things Dany. 3. Blind, parkour Arya. What I hope to see in Season Six-- 1. Tyrells vs Lannisters for the crown and domination. Please bring back the Queen of Thorns. 2. The Essos story wrapping up. Please bring Tyrion, the Dragons, and Dany back to Westoros. 3. The Dead Jon plotline is wrapped up early. Don't drag this out over the season. 4. The plot threads syncing up, and the world shrinking. They only have 2 more seasons.

Honestly, I think I might be too old now for trailers like that where 95 % of the whole thing I can't even figure out what's going on. Too much work to stop every frame for a clue that later turns out to be another disappointing storyline.
I used to love this show but sometimes I think the Red Wedding wasn't just the death of Robb and Lady Stark. The show never really recovered from that because it wasn't as if the next season gave us some consolation. Yes, Joffrey died, but with him the show lost a fabulous villain. That Bolton bastard isn't important enough to be a good substitute for the idiot king. Then we had Oberyn and lost him in the same season. After that Jon Snow finally stepped up and held together that entire fifth sesson only to be fucking stabbed by fucking Olly.
I need something good to happen!!

Well Jon will hold down this season too since its been basically confirmed he will lead the Stark loyalists and Wildlings against the Boltons. Snowbowl is here people!

My initial reaction was that it looked cool overall, who are they kidding with this dead Jon stuff (someone pointed out that you can see someone who looks an awful lot like him in one of the battle sequences), I can't believe they still have Jaime* simpering all over Cersei instead of having him go out to find Brienne (with whom he is far more interesting) and I can't believe Cersei hasn't kicked him to the curb after two of their kids died on his watch, and I can't believe that Jorah found Dany's ring in that giant field. Like, I can see him finding that field by asking people "Did you happen to see a dragon fly overhead?" and seeing the big burned spot the dragon left, but finding her ring is the proverbial needle in a haystack.
My wishlist for this season is I hope they take down the Boltons. I'm tired of Ramsey. He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and I don't find him that interesting. Let Theon stab him or something, and then they can leave Sansa in charge of Winterfell (she is Ned's eldest surviving child) while everyone else goes off to fight the ice zombies. Then I want the Tyrells to kick Cersei's bum.
*The Jaime/Cersei thing bugs because Jaime is ripe for the ol' redemption arc that is as old as time, but always satisfying, and they either aren't doing it or they are dragging their feet on it. Of course, that means he needs to die after being redeemed, but that's fine - he can get his wish of dying in the arms of the woman he loves (not Cersei).

So (unspoiled here) I am assuming that Jon Snow is dead, but maybe Jon Stark lives? That somehow he gets to claim the Stark name, and the showrunners can say, "See? We didn't lie, Jon Snow is dead."
Im really looking forward to its return. Even when a character or plot line doesn't interest me, there are so many others.

I'm getting back into obsessive mode, and have been watching breakdowns of the trailer for most of the day. This is by far the best one. Alt Shift X does amazing analysis on all things GoT. May be spoilery. I can't remember what's common knowledge anymore. This will help those who hate those quick flashes of indecipherable scenes.

I know! Someone needs to succeed at something.
The latest trailer indirectly revealed that both Jaime and Brienne appear to be in the Riverlands (there are separate shots of them where they are around Tully-themed stuff/banners). I got so excited because they are some of the few characters on this show who genuinely like each other and aren't just waiting for the first opportunity to stab the other in the back. Plus Jaime is just a million times better around Brienne than he is simpering after Cersei. I want them to wander Westeros together and fight crime. But then I thought, "This is GOT. How long before one or both of them is tortured/killed/both?"

My pessimistic predictions: Brienne and Ser Davos will die. Arya will be raped because Maisie Williams is 18 now so I can't see those showrunners not going down that route soon. Kit Harington didn't lie and Jon Snow really is dead. Bastard Bolton finds Sansa. Dany kills Jorah because he asks her to. Basically, I'm expecting the worst for anyone I like. Except for Tyrion; I think he's going to be ok.
