I don't know, autographs are one thing, and I also don't think celebrities should be expected to be "on" and willing to sign those at any time. We don't know what's going on in their lives at any given moment and they're allowed to have bad days, of course. But, Charlize's gut reaction to someone saying "hi" to her is just totally bitchy and says a lot about her, imo. A normal, polite human would just say hi back, it's the path of least resistance. I agree that some people may have a bad day, and that may explain why a celebrity's response may be less than enthusiastic when a fan wants an autograph. That person may get a pass. With Charlize, these stories coupled with the others may illustrate Charlize's overall personality (which is rumored not to be pleasant).

This is a SoulCycle class we're talking about, not a random encounter in the gym. These classes are relatively small and conducive to chatting with your neighbors.
A lot of people will talk with each other before and after as you're getting strapped in and out of your machine, so I wouldn't equate her getting approached here with being interrupted mid-situp at the gym. The environment kind of lends itself to small talk (if you haven't fallen over in a sweaty pool). The celebs who attend these classes know that you're gonna be co-mingling with the little people, so Charlize can suck it as far as I'm concerned.

Ok, why do you have to get strapped in at SoulCycle? It's not just a spin class?

I keep seeing people say that Tia interrupted Charlize's workout, but this all took place in a spin class, where it would have been impossible for Tia to approach her while she was working out. It would have been either right before, or after the class. In any event, it doesn't cost Charlize a thing to be polite. I don't see what's so hard about saying 'hello' or giving a smile and a nod. There'a a way to shut down a conversation, without being an asshole. Heck, even a simple "I'm busy" would have been better than the response she gave.
Over the years, I've heard quite a few stories about Charlize being a jerk, so this story doesn't surprise me.

Charlize might well be a bitch, but I'm giving the side-eye to any low-rent celeb who runs to a tabloid to relate her supposed exchange with said bitch.

Ok, why do you have to get strapped in at SoulCycle? It's not just a spin class? It's just a glorified spin class. The only difference in getting set up for class that I could see is that more people in a SoulCycle class might actually be wearing clip in cycle shoes and might take the time to adjust the bikes (though plenty of people in regular cycle classes do too). Other than that, you just hop on a bike and you're ready to ride. And the classes are not small - most studios have at least 50 bikes which is probably more than twice the size of most spin studios. And I don't see the difference if it was before/during or after class. If someone doesn't want to chat with a random stranger, then she shouldn't have to.

No one said she had to chat. She could have ignored her, but instead she decided to roll her eyes and say, "Oh my God".

Pretty much. I'm not famous but I'm an introvert and sometimes people stress me out and I don't want to deal with anyone. If someone tries to engage I just nod or ignore them. Unless it was someone I knew and hated I wouldn't roll my eyes and huff, "Oh my god!"

Mr. Narm just got home from the gym and said "what the hell is up with spin class? Why are the teachers so mean? Why do they YELL?" Hee.
Ahem. I digress. It wouldn't have killed her to just smile. It's kind of juvenile for Ms. Mowry to tell a tabloid. But Charlize is sounding like a jackass as time goes on.
I'm still pretty floored by the relationship. They can be jackasses all they want (Penn and Theron) but really, the whole violent temper thing with Penn throws me.
