Tina Fey's forehead must be sore from all the face-palming she must do because of her cast members.
And yes - I've always thought that anyone who spends a lot of time ranting about gays or gay sex must spend A LOT of time thinking about gays and gay sex.

I'm appalled, I loved Tracey Morgan (as Tracy Jordan). I'm curious to see the response of Tina and company.

Many MANY moons ago on SNL there was a skit that they would show as a pretend commercial for some pills that were supposed to help parents cope if they thought their kid was gay. Will Farrell was in the skit and maybe Tina Fey as well (I can't remember) But pretty much it was a series of vinettes where a kid actor would come up to one of the SNL regulars acting effeminate or doing something girly and the parent would wince and pop a pill in their mouth to help them cope. The tag line was "Because the problem is YOU not your kid!" It ended with Will Farrell holding two thumbs up with a drug plastered grin on his face as his son tried out for baton twirling or something.
Anyway, one point in the skit a kid came up to Tracy Morgan, dressed in a frilly apron and saying "Look Dad! I made Creme Brulee!" Tracy Morgan's reaction was to get very agitated with flared nostrils and looking like he wanted to choke the boy before he popped a pill in his mouth.
I remember even back then it struck me as off because all the other actors just had these plastered on smiles as they watched their boys act girly, whereas he looked enraged and it didn't match the overall tone that it was the parents who had the problem, not the kids. So it was an odd acting choice on his part considering what his collegues were doing.
Of course, whoever directed that skit could have said, 'Tracy, tone it down, you're supposed to be acting like the kid's ok, but you have the problem'
But that's what popped in my head upon hearing of this latest fiasco.
That and, yeah, he's a douche. Forget his half hearted "apologies" after the fact. He's old enough to know better and his been in the industry long enough to know better.

One more example of (alleged) douchebaggery: His (then) girlfriend gave him her kidney because his kidneys were destroyed by diabetes. Then he left her for another woman. Link

His "apology" doesn't even sound like an apology about being homophobic or about insulting gays. He only apologizes about being violent (stabbing his son).
What an ass.
Now I won't be able to watch 30 Rock (my fav sitcom) anymore without thinking about what an idiot he is.
I hope he gets fired from 30 Rock.

It's not just the black community. I've never found Tracy Morgan funny. Yeah- I didn't think Tracy was funny on "SNL" and I think he brings things to a screeching halt on "30 Rock", but his rant doesn't sound too different from a lot of what I've heard the last few times I've been to comedy clubs, regardless of race. If it wasn't blatant homophobia, it was barely concealed racism. ( I won't even go into sexism.) I guess some might think I'm being sensitive, but the pattern always seemed to follow Tracy's: frame everything as "just a joke",even though the onstage demeanor seems to be oddly earnest and angry.

I would be shocked--and I don't mean that remotely hyperbolically--if he gets axed from 30 Rock, but I so, so hope he does. He and Jenna/Jane Krakowski are the two weakest links for me by about a mile. Almost everything they say is painfully unfunny and I would be totally happy if the only time we saw them was during their in-show show since at least that stuff is amusing. I am obviously a little worked up about this.

Damn it, he's my favorite part of 30 Rock. Oh, well. No reason to watch that show any longer.
