Michael Socha was the best part of Wonderland during the two episodes I watched (the show just didn't hold my interest). However, OUAT already has a problem giving story time to some of its established characters (Charming, Belle, even Emma's backstory), so I'm wary of them adding another regular. And if they were adding a regular, I'm surprised it's not Robin Hood, given how hard the show has been pushing his romance with Regina. I always wondered if Cora slept with Rumple and that Zelina (sp?) is really the product of that pairing. It would explain her vast powers prior to any instruction from Rumple. My guess is if that's true, he's well aware of it. From what Zelena told Regina, though, she was born before Cora got involved with royalty, which didn't happen until she met Rumple. So I don't think the timeline fits Rumple being her father. Also, it would be super creepy, given how "Misery"-like she was acting around him. She'd better watch out for when Rumple inevitably gets out from under her control, because he's going to go full Dark One on her as payback for Neal. Zelena's lame sob story didn't make me feel sorry for her at all. I can't wait for someone to dump that bucket of water on her. I'm not usually a Regina fan, but I hope she kicks Zelena's ass. I'm praying that the show doesn't do some extended "sideways" AU crap like Lost. I stopped watching that show partly because of that and I don't think it would suit OUAT at all. The only thing that reassures me is that Zelena wants a world without Regina, and the showrunners apparently love Regina too much to erase her from the canvas for any length of time. Plus, without Regina you also wouldn't have Snow, because Regina saved little Snow's life. If you don't have Snow, you don't have Emma or Henry.

Well we might still have Snow without Regina. Cora was behind that entire incident with the horse, if Regina was never born then that whole thing might never happen. However she might not ever have met Prince Charming because without Regina, she wouldn't become an outlaw. So there'd be no Emma or Henry.
Does anyone else think it's lame that Zelena is green because of envy? I rolled my eyes so hard at that one.

Ah, right. I forgot about good ol' Cora setting up the horse incident. But, yeah, like you said, either way--taking Regina out of the equation likely means that Snow and Charming never meet. (And if Rumple is taken out of the equation somehow, they don't meet, either, since he was Snow/Charming's biggest shipper.)
Yeah, the green with envy thing was kind of...eh. I hoped that at least it would be a spell gone wrong or something.

I just couldn't get over the lazy storytelling. Zelena's story is almost exactly like Regina's. (Regina hates Snow because of jealously.... Zelena hates Regina because of jealousy)? Shoot me now.
Plus my hot Hook crush came to a screeching halt yesterday because I googled the actor, and IRL he's meh. The eyeliner and leather definitely make the man. Sigh.

Regina also hates Snow because she blames her for her boyfriend's death, so it's not 100% jealousy there.

Plus my hot Hook crush came to a screeching halt yesterday because I googled the actor, and IRL he's meh. The eyeliner and leather definitely make the man. Sigh. Ooh, I still think he's hot. He had the tiniest role in The Tudors where he was a potential love interest for Princess Mary (who is now Princess Aurora on OUAT), but was shooed away by Henry. He was dreamy then and I still think he's dreamy now. Regardless if he doesn't look like Hook off-camera, means nothing to me. I only have him for 1 hour on Sunday nights and I doubt I'll see him much IRL.

I think he's hot too. The attitude he switches on when he gets into the Hook character really kicks the appeal into overdrive, but even as himself I sure as hell wouldn't toss him out of bed.

Great, all this talk about Colin/Hook put him in one of my dreams last night. Dang it!
I watched some interviews with him and Jennifer Morrison (Swan) and he gets so bashful just talking about a potential romance with the two characters it's actually quite sweet.

I saw some funny interview clips of Colin with the cast at Comic-Con and he knew all of the answers to these "geek" questions about comic books, Doctor Who, etc. I actually thought he was cuter there than as Hook. Plus, he was speaking with is natural Irish accent. I forgot that he was that guy on The Tudors--I really liked him in that.
I'm not big on the Hook/Emma romance, because (1) I don't really see the chemistry and (2) I feel like the show skipped over his transition from villain who spent much of last season trying to kill Emma/Snow/Belle/Aurora/Mulan. I could buy it (it's Once Upon a Time, after all) if they'd dealt with it for more than, like, half an episode. It's even more glossed-over than Regina's "redemption" storyline. I still love the show, but they tend to speed through some important character moments to to get to the next big plot "twist" (which will inevitably be someone else being related to Henry).

I'm indifferent to the whole Captain Swan thing. I don't care about Emma much.
I just watch the show for a few characters: Hook, Regina, and Robin Hood (love the idea of Outlaw Queen), maybe a couple of the others, plus Robert Carlyle has been fantastic in everything I've seen him in. I only care about Rumpel as far as watching Carlyle in action.
I wish they had spent more time connecting the adult Baelfire with Hook in a way that went beyond their tension over Emma. It seems like everything else - their connection to Milah and that Hook had looked after him for a time - was sacrified on the altar of the Emma love triangle. We shouldn't have had to wait until Hook hugged Neal goodbye at the hosptial to finally get some meat out of their shared backstory. Lost opportunity.
