Out of Sight and Selena are definitely her best acting performances.
Has anyone else been following the J-Lo stories on TikTok? Oof. From the stories, she’s rude to anyone that she feels there’s no benefit in knowing. Tons of stories of “don’t make eye contact with her” among other nastiness. Yikes.
I haven’t watched either her self-financed movie or her documentary. I’ve seen reviews for both and though there are a few people that thought her movie was okay, everyone is panning the doc. And she’s apparently having to cancel tour shows due to low ticket sales. Good luck, Ben!

Oh it's not just stories of her as an actress/celebrity. There's people who went to high school with her on tiktok and show proof that say she was insufferable back then too

I believe that she was insufferable back in the day.
And I still remember her infamous Movieline magazine cover interview (when she was just a starlet on the rise in 1998-ish) in which she made some...unsavory comments about a bunch of already-established Hollywood names like Oliver Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Claire Danes, Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, Madonna, and Wynona Ryder. And we all know about her Bennifer shenanigans and her oversized ego.
However, I have been reading these stories about Jlo not really being from the Bronx that are just made-up BS from online grifters that are jumping on the current "let's hate on Miss Lopez" bandwagon. Should she still be trying to act like she is a relatably scrappy chick from the Block? No. She is a megawealthy Hollywood star. Nobody is buying that whole "I am still that girl from the Bronx" schtick. But come on, some people online are claiming that she never lived in the Bronx.
Her childhood home address is easily located online.

A friend of mine worked on Selena. He had a small scene with her and said she was awful to work with. Even back then she acted like a diva and refused to interact with anyone she deemed beneath her. And there's that old story that Clooney absolutely hated working with her on Out of Sight because of her diva behavior on the set. And funny enough, she skipped the movie premier when Ben worked with Clooney

Who was she of the white everything? Insisted that walls, rugs, flowers, chairs, everything in the “green” rooms be white? I thought that was La’ Lopez….

It's not that she isn't from the Bronx, but she's trying to spin that she grew up tough or something; when she went to a private all girl's Catholic School. I'm not buying what she's selling and she's still selling that she's "Jenny from the Block." Besides if JLo didn't look like she does, meaning "white passing" she never would have made movies like "The Wedding Planner" and "Maid in Manhattan." Lauren Velez is a more talented actress than Lopez, but Velez is also darker and sadly, that does make a difference.
