The Jlo threads on Fametracker, Vh1 messageboard and RNB Dirt were awesome. Lol. I spent way too much time writing essays about why jlo was a complete fraud.

I don't really care about the selfie pic. This is a new day and age. I was more confused when POTUS gave a 25 things you may not know about me interview to US Weekly.

I'm not trying to be JLo's The Jakes (hi Jakes! How are you? I hope you are still around! ) But. JLo does some pretty interesting stuff these days and I love that she is producing The Fosters- apparently I'm the only one over the age of 16 that watches, but a show about foster care and a family that adopts and happens to have two moms? Love that. Of course, I know she has done countless things in the name of publicity and notoriety, but I think that she is so dedicated to the project is cool and show more depth than I would have guessed. Anyway... I love the FLOTUS, too. I bet we are going to see some pretty awesome stuff from her in the future. Thus, I heartily approve the selfie.

I think the branding thing became big with the Spice Girls. They literally put their names on everything, and were the first pop act I can remember that put more effort into the commercial side of things than into the music/performing. They knew they had little talent so decided to milk whatever they could from their image in the shortest time possible.

Basically every boy band out there has done the commercial products from sheets, pens, etc. I don't think it was the Spice Girls.

If you asked me who was in the selfie with Michelle Obama I would've said Ann MargretI thought her face tweaking wasn't too bad but she's getting to where she doesn't look like herslf.

Branding went all the way back to The Beatles. They actually lost a ton of money on it because the contracts weren't written right or something. Of course, we're talking about mainly kid and teen girl fan things like toys and lunchboxes, not "lifestyle" products like clothing lines or makeup.

I watch The Fosters too and I really respect J-Lo for that. I still wish she'd give up on trying to be a pop star and just go back to acting. As for the selfie with Michelle Obama, FLOTUS is a class act. Of course, she took the picture.

I still wish she'd give up on trying to be a pop star and just go back to acting. THIS! Leave the pop star thing to Mariah and Madonna. It'd be interesting if she were to become a successful music producer in her own right. Can she go back to movies, or are there not too many good/interesting roles for her right now? Maybe she should act on TV? I respect her for not doing a reality show based on her life...yet.
