How old is his oldest son? Any chance that once he's an adult he'll take his siblings and get the hell away from the crazy? I think Prince is nearly 18, but the money isn't given to them in one lump sum at age of majority. The one smart thing that MJ did, was stagger out the payments until the kids were 30, if I remember correctly.

The will did give her a lifetime trust, but at the time of his death Fubar was up to his wig in debt. The estate first had to find out who all was owed, including Uncle Sam, pay them off, license MJ's name and identify other assets that could make money and actually start bringing in cash before Mam Jackson and the Kids get any decent payout. At last report, I read that $30M was paid out to them in 2011 , split between her and the kids. The estate is also paying them a monthly allowance and covering other odd third party debts at the request of Mama Jackson. Now, does she have any of that money left over to pay the settlement? That is the question. If not, the estate would have to cover her debt, even though the estate wasn't going to benefit from the lawsuit.

That brings up an interesting question. If $30 was paid out in 2011, I'm going to assume there was another payout of a similar amount since then. That being the case, Katherine's trust has more than enough money to cover her lawsuit debt. However, if her broke children she squandered her entire share, what happens then? Can the estate really dip into the kids portion or the portion set aside for charity, legally speaking? I'm curious if her allowance is a mechanism by which she doesn't just get lump sums of money and some of her trust is paid in parts. That would enable them to keep money set aside to account for any ridiculous expenditures on her part.

An unreleased track of MJs is being released on his new album. I really like the song, it's very old school Michael, its called "Love Never Felt so Good." I feel so conflicted because i really like it but at the same time I think "Argh, I'd be supporting a child molester if I buy this, BUT I really like this song, he probably did it before he started molesting kids so it would be okay, right?" Yup, those are the thoughts going through my head as I listened to it on the radio on my drive in.
From the beat and sound of the song, I'd guess this was from the early 80s.

I heard a snippet on the Today show this morning. It was recorded in 1983, so that's probably why you're conflicted. I like it, too. Don't know if I like it enough to buy it.

I wasn't paying much attention, but I think Usher performed part of it last night at the I Heart Radio Awards. It does sound very 80's, and reminded me of one of his minor hits, Farewell, My Summer Love. Definitely early 80's.

I think at this point since FUBAR is dead, you'd be putting any new money into his estate which will more than likely go to his orphaned children (Unless there is some hostile takeover by the broke!Jacksons) So yay... helping orphans! Right? Maybe?

Right? Maybe? That's a fair point. I certainly don't blame MJ's kids for his craziness and creepiness. I still have difficulty when any of his songs plays on the radio. I change the channel. I also don't watch Woody Allen films or buy R. Kelly's music. I don't visit Terry Richardson's site and avoid buying magazines that use his photos. These things are all too tainted for me to take a genuine interest in them.

Except for PYT for obvious reasons.
