Kanye has a new magazine interview, and his delusions of grandeur continue. I love that TV Guide is making fun of him, while he thinks he's the most articulate, creative, and innovative person in the world.

Speechless.
These are actually very nice and sweet things to say. Now if only he'd stop obsessing on all the shallow stuff that he's convinced himself is deep, like getting on the cover of Vogue.

On why he got married: "Like they said in Step Brothers: Never lose your dinosaur. This is the ultimate example of a person never losing his dinosaur. Meaning that even as I grew in cultural awareness and respect and was put higher in the class system in some way for being this musician, I never lost my dinosaur."
Umm wtf?
"Celebrities [are] being treated like blacks were in the '60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. ... [Kim and I] are going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. [North] didn't choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I'm going to fight to make sure she has a better life."
double wtf?

I still can't get over Kim being paid a half million for a one evening date with a German rich guy, which she stalks out of an hour into it because she was insulted for her bf ("But I still get to keep the money, right?")....and Kanye grouses about the hardships of celebrity.

And he says it doesn't matter that Jay Z and Beyonce didn't go. Yeah, right. He probably had to edit any references to them out of his 45 minute rant.

He ought to know better than that. Can we have the spirit of Ruby Dee visit upon Kanye and school him? I understand his sentiment on some level, but he should have used a different simile all together.

It means that they were random individuals invited to a wedding who decided to accept the invitation and take their seats. That's what it means. Nothing more. Nothing less.

He is obsessed with his level of fame vs. other people's (where's a fametracker when you really need it?). He wants to be the most famous & best ever at what he does without sacrificing any privacy? He may be book smart but he's quite lost in describing what he wants from his life. The part about having someone to call Mom is probably the most poignant--and important--takeaway from all this. He needed a family again, and KK popped up at the right time.
