Pleasantly surprised. The karaoke scenes were fun. I loved Jenny questioning both Ichabod and Abbie about the state of their relationship. They have been fractured and last episode only highlighted the divide. So, it was good they finally talked it out. I hope it sticks because their relationship, not the Cranes, is the foundation of this show.
Katrina is shady as hell. Irving comes to her for help, and what does she do...question him about a grown ass man/evil doer. If Henry wanted her to know where and what he was doing, he'd come to her. Also...how in the world did she not pick up on the fact that Irving isn't alive/might be a vampire? Shady.
Bye, Hawley. Your hair is glorious, but you were sucking the cool out of Jenny. Now, she can go back to being her awesome self, instead of being your cheerleader.

I think, I hope that with Katrina's behavior in this episode that we may be seeing the end of her character.

I loved it! The hour flew by! Loved that Ichabod got to drive Hawley's car. ( But not as much as the brief moment at the end where Ichabod thought Abbie learned his "shanty" so they could duet) I'm one of the few who enjoys Hawley so I'll miss his adventures with the gang.
Katrina seemed to have good chemistry with the Irvings. Why is she so much better with everyone but her husband?

Yes, this one felt more old school Sleepy Hollow- And the Karaoke was fun!
I was complaining a while back about Hawley just somehow showing up with whatever magical thingy was needed without ever being shown doing the work to get said magical thingy. Well, I guess the show folks read these boards because this week he actually had to get his Indiana Jones on in order to find the magical thingy. But what I loved even more was that it was Crane and ABBIE (not Katrina!!) who ultimately had to face the Temple of Doom type traps and save the day with THEIR knowledge and skillz. Giving Hawley more backstory does make me warm to him more- though in all seriousness he could very easily be replaced by Jenny in every purpose he serves.
Still, here's an idea. Let Hawley be Katrina's replacement as the character who winds up getting kidnapped and needing of rescue every other week. If the kidnappers always see fit to steal Hawley's shirt in the process- Bonus!
Speaking of Katrina, she was wonderfully absent this week- but her brief screen time was SOOOOO annoying! I loved the ritual set up she had to delve into Irving's situation... except as soon as they sat down to start the ritual she asks Irving about HENRY?!?!?!? WT EVERLOVING F, WOMAN!!!!! Stop with the 'Oh, my poor darling son!' crap! Darling son is the one who put Irving in this situation in the first place!! ARRRRRRGHHHHH!!!! And she didn't really even help Irving out. She says he's not connected to Henry... but he still had no reflection in the mirror so her ritual and info solved NOTHING. Most useless witch EVER! Most useless CHARACTER ever!! I'm so done done DONE with Katrina and her wibblings. Kill her, make her bad or make her USEFUL! But just stop with the AHHHHHRRRRRRGGGGGGHH!!! Can't Headless Bram come carry her away again... and stay gone this time! BLEARH!
I want Irving back with Crane and the Mills Sisters. I'm tired of him spinning his wheels in victim mode this season. Whatever his status is, I'm sure he could be useful in a fight. The baddie's can't endanger his soul- he doesn't have one. Or really his life- he's the walking dead but with a pulse apparently. And besides, dead, alive, or something in between- he kicks much ass. Period. Bring back Rambro!Irving in more than just flashbacks. He can help them fight off oogies, find mystical objects and rescue shirtless Hawleys... and will hopeful stumble upon a way to get his soul back if he's actually THERE in the mix instead of on the sidelines.
I just hope they keep things going in this direction with Crane and Abbie making a better duo. (Though better than Ike and Tina please!)

I hope that Hawley makes an appearance again as well, and maybe his pants come off a little.

Hellraiser guys are back but so are Katrina and Henry. That sucks. If anyone here was wondering what happened to the guy who was married to Christina Applegate, he is now dressed as a pilgrim.

That was a good ep. Definitely felt like a s1 episode. There was news over the weekend, which hinted a change was coming. I just didn't think we'd see it tonight. Team Witness is stronger than ever. The writers aren't even being subtle about Abbie & Ichabod. Katrina's shadiness is finally coming to the surface. Hopefully, it'll make her more interesting. And Irving...knew his return was too good to be true. Have to say, I thought Henry was going to go all sappy over the lady and her kid. Glad to see the writers didn't go the predictable route.

Yeah, these past couple episode have been more and more like the beginnings when SL was still AWESOME! LOVED Abbie pointing out that she and Crane stopped plenty of oogies without Katrina's 'help'. (As if her magic ever worked when she was 'helping') But now, if her powers only work when she does evil stuff... I'm actually ok with that. She's a lot more tolerable when she has a purpose- like being a bad guy.
Irving- well, I'm saddened that he is also being a bad guy. However, I'm still just so happy to have him around and not locked away in an Asylum or- you know, dead! He's a badasss no matter who's side he's on. I'd rather he be on Crabbie's (heh) side, but again as long as we have Irving on screen, I'm happy.
Henry bores me now though. His evil was already becoming nearly as useless as Katrina's 'good' while Moloch was still around- and now that Moloch's gone (sniff!!) really, what's the point? P.S. though- Is Moloch REALLY dead?!?!?!? 'Cause I loved Moloch! Best Baddie Ever! Esp. now that the Headless Horseman never shows and when he does he has a HEAD which makes him super pointless!
Missed Jenny! Did not miss Hawley and will not miss Hawley unless Hawley shows up missing his clothes.
Crane and squeaky banana were fun.
