This fansite is a pretty good one. They have their share of fanatics but for the most part can be pretty level headed.

After all, what would Clay do? I had My "friend" had a bumpersticker made up this weekend that reads simply: WWCD I think the idea will catch on like wildfire. there's just something so wholesome about ClayMate love -- the kind that your 'friend' exhibits. That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now, I don't get the hoopla about him, but I don't think he's a bad singer or performer. As a 32 yr old hetro woman, I'm probably not his target audiance anyway. Edited because I am 32 not 33 and those year mistakes mean more to me now than when I was 23.

Clay will be on All My Children in about half an hour. Hee. Apparently he's one of the guests on Erica Kane's new talk show. The women on The View mentioned they give Erica advice in that episode.
On the TWoP board a poster mentioned she found a post about a girl who met Clay at a Wicked performance in NYC earlier this week. Apparently he was seated three rows behind the girl. The girl's friend approached Clay who signed her playbill and talked to her briefly. Then he signed autographs outside. Poor guy can't go to a show without signing autographs.

I asked in the Celebrity Endowments thread, but I'll ask here as well. Does anyone know where I can find that (possibly photoshopped) picture of Clay singing onstage with, um, a bulge? It's really not for me, it's for a friend (non-quoted) who likes him and wants to see it (I guess, both on the Internet and in real life, too.)
The last message on this thread was from September, which now puts Clay in the "Where are they now?" list. He seemed to be poised as one of the next major entertainers of the decade, the way things played out at the end of that season. Instead, one album, one Holiday album, and lots of rumors, but not much else.
I personally love his voice, and voted for him on the show, but I'm not a Claymate. However, with all that potential income from such a large fanbase, how come he didn't become this decade's Celine Dion / Michael Bolton?

There have been enough AIs now to start seeing patterns. I think that show is a huge jinx for just about everyone involved, don't y'all? That could be why he's lying low.
Then again, maybe he's been, ahem, entertaining a friend?

Please don't hate me, but I'm pretty technologically deficient and even reading the directions, I can't figure linking out: linkmentions-at the very end-that he hopes to have a new album (do you young kiddies even know why it's called that?!) out in April. It was an interesting article, particularly the discussion on how he went from the AI managment to what he's doing now, and what he wants in his new album. I must add that I'm disappointed to hear he was not happy with the choices of songs on his first album (what the hey is wrong with "adult contemporary"?!.....and FYI, but my local 105.7 does not play JT or Usher, yuck) and plans to make something different the next time around. I *love* his voice, and his xmas album still is bringing me chills when I listen to it; I *like* him singing songs that show off his voice!

Clay's actually been doing a lot of touring. And he's heavily involved with Unicef - he did some traveling overseas for them. I caught his christmas concert a few weeks ago, it was great. I love his voice, can't wait for the next CD.

His material makes me reach for the insulin at times but, with such a great singing voice and a thoroughly charming stage presence, I forgive him.

As a reformed Clay fanatic (although I still like the boy), I can tell you that The Clackhouse which was linked earlier on this page has quite a collection of photos of "Waldo" (the Claymate name for Aiken's endowment). I know at one time they had a thread devoted to it. If that doesnt work out, PM me and I can help you out.
I used to post/interact regularly on that site, and the people there are really nice. In fact, I met a lady from the boards (recognized her from a picture she'd posted) at a Clay concert and she gave me a free ticket to the one the next evening. They're good folks over there.
