I think she looks deeply unhappy, especially in the latest pics on DM. I don't if it's because of how she messed with her face or what, but she had a glow after she first transitioned which is gone now. Maybe at first it was thrilling to be a woman and she felt as though all of her problems were over, but as time went on, she realized that she's still who she is on the inside and her problems all came along with her. I don't think transitioning is a magic bullet to fix all your issues, even if many of them stem from gender identity (and I don't know if hers do). Just generally, transitioning at a late age means that all of the baggage you had prior to transitioning is still there. And if you don't work it out, it ain't going anywhere. I completely agree with this. It reminds me of an interview I read with a plastic surgeon (years ago, or I'd try to find the link) where he said that most of his patients come into the office thinking that once they get their new nose they'll also lose 20 pounds/have a different, better personality/win back the one that got away/whatever and he has to remind them that the surgery is going to give them a new nose and that's it. Obviously transitioning is much more involved than a nose job, but I can definitely see how the same type of reasoning would come into play, especially when you're of a generation where being out for much of your life was impossible.

I will eat all of your grape nuts, people. They are precious gems of deliciousness! Add some milk and honey and OH! Put them on vanilla ice cream and YES! As for Caitlyn, yes, I agree with the majority of you. She's too clueless and vapid and is a bad "example" of a transwoman because of privilege and lack of awareness. I wish she could have just transitioned without the Kardashian influence and need to publicize every single moment of existence, outside of the public eye, and "come out" to the public on a magazine cover in a few years after maturity and lessons learned. For everyone's sake.

I absolutely love how breakfast cereals have overtaken this thread and we have more to say about them than Caitlyn. Maybe THAT'S why she's lost her glow.

From Wheaties to Grape Nuts: The Caitlyn Jenner Story
I'd watch that made-for-TV biopic...

I have a friend who's FtM and she has a theory that transitioning in some ways sends you back to your teen years emotionally as you're trying to figure out your new body and way of being. Friend threw herself a Sweet 16 party for her 40th birthday, which was very sweet and fun. At this point, I think Catelyn is acting less "mature" than her teenage daughters, whom she is utterly failing to parent.

I wonder if the girls are telling Caitlyn she needs a bigger ass, bigger boobs, and face tweaks.

I wonder if the girls are telling Caitlyn she needs a bigger ass, bigger boobs, and face tweaks. Which girls? Her stepdaughters? I bet they can refer her to someone who can work on that ass.

According to her, it was easier to come out as transgender than to come out as a Republican. My eyes cannot roll enough.

I wish she would speak at the RNC and see those delegates' eyes bug out of their heads. Yeah, those are your people Cait.
