It sounds like there might be some information missing but I would guess it's a statute of limitations problem.

MSNBC's Steve Kornacke just did a great piece on why we're just now hearing about this admission--mostly speculation re: settlement agreements and protection of victims' identities. Will be airing again at 11pm eastern/10pm central. Rachel Maddow will be talking about it later this hour as well, if you're interested in tuning in.

D'oh! I don't have cable! Can someone report back on what Rachel Maddow says? I hope this finally blows up in his face.

I wish I had heard what Rachel had to say. None of this surprises me, I'm stunned that others are surprised. When I first heard about this, I thought, "yeah, I believe it." I mean I was a teenager in the 70's and back then you never left your drink unattended. Meaning if people were saying that in the 70's, shit was going on. I would not be a bit surprised if most A list actors back then were doing the same as Cosby. The only difference is that they weren't running their mouths talking about morality. I mean Cosby was right in what he said about young black men, it's just that he wasn't the one to say it. Had Cosby kept his mouth shut, none of this would have come out probably until after he was dead. The reason I say most A list actors were doing the same shit is because I remember when Roman Polanski was charged with rape. I vaguely remember something about them being at Jack Nickelson's house, which made me wonder if he was involved in shit like drugging young girls and raping them. In the 1970's sexuality was different, the attitude was everything's all right no matter what. I don't think it was until people became aware of STD's did folks really start to think about sexual behavior. I mean when I got to college, the attitude was "get on the Pill." The only reason the guys I knew used condoms was because they were in West Point and I believe they had access to them there. Jill Scott on Bill Cosby, I stood by a man I respected and loved, I was wrong.

Note that Cosby only resigned from the Board of Trustees at Temple last year (under pressure from the school after more accusers came out). One of their employees was drugged and assaulted by him and brought a suit against him and he was kept on the board for nine more years. Jill Scott has publicly withdrawn her support and admitted she was wrong. Wonder if any more will (looking at you Phylicia Rashad).

Jill Scott on Bill Cosby, I stood by a man I respected and loved, I was wrong. Yup. Jill Scott had been defending Bill Cosby vigorously. At least she came out and admitted she has changed her position in light of this revelation. Jill Scott has publicly withdrawn her support and admitted she was wrong. Wonder if any more I want to hear what Phylicia Rashad has to say now.

Love him or hate him, Judd Apatow has been one to consistently call Cosby out publicly. So, he'll forever have a pass from me. HuffPo

Wow. Listen to this CNN interview that Judd linked to in one of his tweets. The woman being interviewed, one of his victims, used to work for the Playboy clubs when Bill Cosby was on the circuit and she said she knows of another 50 or so Jane Does who have not come forward. I would not be surprised if the number of his victims reaches into the 100s.

Fuck Jill Scott. How many women was it going to take for her and other dumbasses to believe them? It took only for him in his own words to admit it for her to validate 40 + women?

Because so many women will go against their gender, rather than go against their race. But still, many of the women raped were black.
