Technically, Cosby has not been convicted of anything. And while he admitted to buying the drugs with the intention of giving them to women, he never said he gave them to the women without their consent. Now, we all know what happened, but legally nothing has been proven. That would set a precedent the white house probably doesn't want to mess with.

Haven't seen the full episode in well over a decade, but from what I recall, there's not really a suggestion that the sauce is drugged. More that it's a special recipe that is an aphrodisiac like oysters or something. I think there are some aspects that can raise an eyebrow, but to me, it's not really a smoking gun comparison.

So instead of addressing the issue of his 10 year old testimony that he gave girls 'ludes to sex them up, his attorneys are more concerned with how it got leaked . Not a very subtle attempt at redirection, IMO. The judge had already unsealed the documents anyway. I would not be surprised if the court reporter was an older chick that was close to retirement and kind of outraged at all this bullshit.

Sorry Cos, the Duggars tried that diversion tactic and it failed miserably. You testified under oath to your actions and that's all that really matters.
I think the lawyers know that there's nothing they can do. These statements are billable hours to them. As long as Camille is pushing and Bill is paying, they will keep making statements. They need to start preparing an actual defense because some DA is going to find a way to charge him by the end of the year.

What I think is so ridiculous is his lawyer's talking about how ludes were a normal part of seventies sexual culture. But this lawsuit was filed in 2004. AIDS had long since altered the free-love behavior of the seventies.
I guess Camille is hardened to Bill's cheating ways by now, but I don't know how she can read what he said in that deposition and not be repulsed by it.

Ugh. I really hope this is true. I think the best bet is the DA in Los Angeles, where the police still have an open investigation.
On a related note, I am disgusted by what happens when you type in 'Cosby will be indicted' into a Yahoo search engine. I got a bunch of headlines from last year about out-of-date 'reactions' (read: rape apologia) to Cosby's victims' statements, most of which regurgitate the 'he was never charged therefore he cannot be presumed guilty' horseshit. YAHOO. He is a sexual predator. This has been covered extensively in recent months and I shouldn't have to look at crap the deniers wrote in 2014. Fix your algorith.

New York magazine's latest cover features scores of Bill's victims. I'm actually curious what he will do now. He's been condemned by his own words in the deposition. Will he finally just slink away into obscurity? I can't see what he possibly can gain by trying to fight this. His legacy is ruined. The entire world knows he's a rapist.
