Hugh Hefner was supposedly the one who showed him how to do it, yet no one is saying throw Hef in jail. But has anyone come forward and accused Hef of doing this to them? While she doesn't accuse Hef of sexual assault, Holly Madison did have this to say in her new book: "Thigh-openers"? How creepy is that?

No one would have come out about this had not Cosby opened his mouth and pretended to be this perfect father, this king of morality. No one ever called Hugh Hefner "America's Dad."

Exactly. It's the hypocrisy that Hannibal Burress was calling out. And that's what FINALLY made the allegations stick and gain credibility in peoples' minds.
Not excusing Hugh Hefner AT ALL if he ever drugged and/or raped women. I'm just saying it was Cosby's own overblown ego and self-righteousness that finally brought him down.

If it weren't so horrible, that would be hilarious: he thinks he's an expert on reading women, so he drugs and rapes a lesbian. Mind you, I am not laughing, but could this situation get any more fucked up?

He told her what they were and when she declined he had no problem with it.

I've always thought Hef gets off on how willing women are to do debase themselves for him and how eager they are to join his harem. I don't think he's into force.
Certainly if he's offering someone a quaalude and explaining the effects beforehand and that person has consented to sex with or without the quaalude, no problem.

I don't think Hef's into force either, nor did I say that he tried to force any woman. I have issues with someone giving a (possible) mind-altering substance to someone else in order to lower the person's inhibitions to do stuff sexually that he/she normally would not do. I also have a problem with referring to Quaaludes as "thigh openers". Cosby apparently took that term literally and he obviously took the approach of giving women a mind-altering substance to make them pliable too far.

I don't mean to sound so flippant on the matter, but Hef giving someone drugs and making them completely aware of what they are taking just doesn't bother me. No matter what he called them, he told her what they were beforehand. She was able to chose to take them or to remove herself from the situation or however she wanted to react.
And for all we know, Roman Polanski was the one that told Cosby about this great plan. Or Dr. Feelgood was writing prescriptions to half of Hollywood. The more I read about Hollywood, the more it seems everyone is inter connected. Its easy to blame Hef, but I'm betting they both heard it from some "respectable" doctor of the time.

I continue to enjoy Larry Wilmore hitting Cosby hard on The Nightly Show. He devoted an entire show to him when the women first started coming forward. Then every week or so during other shows he would bring it up again and randomly yell at the screen "That's right, motherf__er, I haven't forgotten you!"
