All I can say for her is that she's cute, she does seem to work at what she's doing, and she's the least offensive of that whole Hills bunch (which, admittedly, ain't saying much, but still). I can kind of root for her to succeed.

I read her books and found them to be a light, fun, beach read. They won't be winning a Pulitzer any time soon, but they kept me entertained.[/smallvoice]

I did try to hide the cover when I was reading it on the train, so I can't say I was without shame... but that said, I enjoyed the book. Certainly no worse than that Twilight shit. Besides, as someone who watches far too much reality TV, I found that it gave me a semi-autobiographical look into the behind the scenes stuff.

She is like the kind of celebrity I would probably be. Boring with an awesome closet and if someone throws a good opportunity my way, I would take it. Designing a fashion line? Check. Interning at a magazine? Cool. Recreating my "life" on TV? If the paycheck's good enough. Why not? She does a better job with what she's got than most everyone else on her "show".

I think that's what I like about her. She's popular because of her blandness. No drama like Speidi, Audrina, Lindsay, etc.
She does her thing and is working to achieve her own goals. She seems really down to earth and friendly and kind. I think most non-intrusive tweens/teens find her refreshing and could relate to her more as if she was one of their own friends.

That's the reason I like her.

At the risk of sounding like a crochety old lady, she dressed cute and elegant and ladylike when everyone else was trashing it up, which made me take more notice of her.

LC: 'I never wanted to end up in entertainment'If you click through the photos, it'll go into several different interview questions, but one that stuck out for me was this: Soooo, what type of protein do you eat, girl? I'd take it that she'd only eat fish? I would think she'd need to eat something else beyond that.

As one who doesn't eat meat, chicken, or pork either, I am pretty sure she's eating seafood. It's the one way for me to get protein, so I am sure that's what she is doing.
