Wow, that's awful. I hope it didn't come as too big a shock? I'm not phrasing it well but yeah, they're in my thoughts.

Rosie's having a tough week. Her father died. Page SixA rough week? Rosie's been having a rough year or two! She's separated from her latest wife, right? I hope Rosie has a support system in place.

Her mother died of breast cancer. And yet that's what she chose to yell at a subordinate when abusing that person. That really tells you what a whack job she is.

She's dating (or rumored to be dating) Sophie B. Hawkins, who just gave birth at the age of 50. And she sang one of my all time favorite songs, Damn, I Wish I Was Your LoverHugs to Rosie, and I still hope that "liar" story isn't true. Hugs to cancan, too. Cancer sucks.

It's been a long time since the Rosie Magazine lawsuit, but if memory serves Rosie admitted that she told an employee "liars get cancer." She said she regretted it, but was mad about something and it came out.
I don't like Rosie. I haven't been a fan for a long time. That said, I can sympathize. She's going through a rough time. I truly hope her daughter gets the help and comfort she needs. I don't know if Rosie reconciled with her dad, but losing a parent is tough at any age. If there was still unresolved issues between them, that can make it even worse.

Rosie is such a mixed bag. Life dealt her a very difficult hand in a lot of ways. She has also taken on huge endeavors, which is admirable, even though those endeavors are often too much for her. At the time of the “liars get cancer” thing I think she was juggling her TV show, her publishing venture (which wasn’t going well), all of her kids, her marriage, high-profile charity work, and day-to-day controversy over everything she did. It’s not surprising she was stressed. But there’s also the fact that she has a reputation for being a very difficult/mean/nasty person to work with and that’s an ongoing thing, not a one-time incident because she was stressed.

I don't like her now and never have. I think she's someone with an enormous ego who tries to do a bunch of things and ends up doing none of them well. I'm probably on the same side as her politically on a lot of things but I wouldn't want to hang out with her. I'm not really a talk show person so I don't care about most of them. I think she's extremely unlikable.
ETA: Until I typed this out, I didn't realize I had so much dislike for somebody I don't care about or think about in general. Sorry for her loss, though.
