Was surprised by the Brad Pitt comment.
I guess she must talk about him at home.

That was such an oddly defensive thing to say about Brad Pitt. I mean, even if that's really how he feels, why admit it publicly?

Aw, I actually feel a little sorry for him now. We only have to deal with Gwyneth occasionally. He has to listen to her all the time going on and on and on and on and on and on about her Dad, Brad and M. Poor Chris. At least he still has his long, lean, ropey muscles going for him.

Meanwhile, Brad never even thinks twice about Paltrow. Nor does Angelina for that matter.

I feel sorry for him a bit too, though it was weird to bring it up in an interview like that. How exhausting it must be constantly compared to your wife's late father and the ghosts of boyfriends past. And how truly exhausting it must be to constantly listen to Gwynnie go on and on about the tragedy in her life. Well, at least this seems to indicate that Gwynnie isn't putting on a show in interviews - sounds like she talks that way at home, too.

Was he being serious? I thought it was supposed to be a joke in the 'Brad Pitt is supposed to be the most beautiful man evah' vein. I didn't think the comment was supposed to taken that seriously.

I think he was joking too but I can see how it could be seen as an attempt at self-deprecation and an insight to his personal life.
He's made a similar comment before though, that the two biggest challenges in his life were following Radiohead and following Brad.

No matter how he meant the Brad Pitt comment, I think he is such a wanker. Not only is the title and cover art of their new album pretentious, but the members of the band are all dressing in clothes based upon the clothes of the subjects in Delacroix's painting. To each their own, but he seems like such a try-hard. Gwyneth and he probably sit around patting themselves on the back because now they have introduced Delacroix to the masses. (I keed, I keed.)

It was probably a joke, but Gwyneth and Brad dated so long ago.
It's weird how they like to remind us how Brad once dated her. But maybe most of her relevancy comes from Brad.....that and the post-traumatic stress disorder she had after her Oscar win.

I'm guessing that he meant to be sarcastic too but he should have known that it would not have come across like that in print. Gah, and now he'll be able to whine even more that he's *misunderstood* and that the masses aren't smart enough to *get him.*
