Don't forget to add that you "don't want to talk about things." Because, you know, talking about things sucks. Especially in an interview. That's just unnecessary and invasive. Interviews would be so much better if they didn't have talking.

I did giggle a little bit that the BBC found the most spastic-looking file photo to accompany that story.

Petulant little tosser! He's so damn pretentious and all that writing on the hand stuff is so Michael Stipe circa mid 1980's. Except Michael Stipe does stuff with style and has a lot of humility. Chris Martin is just a tenth rate wannabe. Mieaow! I know I am being a bitch, but I live in England and I am so tired of Coldplay and Chris Martin.

The way he spins things to make it seem as if the whole bad world is against him, reminds me a lot of his precious wife. Chris claims, he gets tricked into saying stupid things, Fishstick got tricked into posing naked....if there ever were two celebs who belonged together, it's these two...

You are so right Solly!
They just seem so pretentious, up themselves and perfect for each other.
Long may they stick together! Because at least they won't be making some other poor soul miserable!

If he doesn't like talking about things, why not just piss off and stop re-releasing what's basically the same album every few years? He needs to be a bit more grateful for the lucky situation that he's in (very lucky in his case - I don't think Coldplay deserve a tenth of all the accolades that they get) and realise that most people don't have the luxury of storming out of their job when they're just "not enjoying it". Tosser.

Much as I can't stand Lady Paltrow, I did get a kick out of the Ricky Gervais interview with Chris Martin that's up on rickygervais.com right now. I think it's fair to note that much of the hilarity comes from Ricky's brilliant questions, but Martin was a good sport. And then he basically spoofed exactly the kind of obnoxious rock star behavior mentioned above on Extras. I get the feeling he puts up a front about being a good guy, low key and cool, but can really snap. The amount of self righteousness in that household is truly overwhelming.

Holy crap, that's so unprofessional! I'm starting to think he sees himself as a stifled-genius Lennon-esque figure, and is behaving like a total prat to try to cultivate that image.
Word, litzikohanovich, Fix You is an incredible, epic, awesome song. But Chris is an epic douchebag.

He is just too precious. He and Gwynnie are perfect for each other with their endless whining..

I like Chris Martin and Coldplay, but lately when I hear interviews etc with him I fear he is morphing into his snooty wife (whom I can't stand!). I can just imagine how their kids are going to turn out.
