He discussed this years ago, why is he bringing this up again? This time around though he seems to be downplaying his turmoil during his teenage years. Accused of Stealing Vida tuneI love the song but the first few times I heard it I thought it sounded a bit like the Jimmy Falon SNL Christmas song. I couldn't find a good version of it on youtube. But the casio part of that song sounds similar. There doesn't appear to be enough proof for these guys though.

I'm not sure he did. It looks like alot of those quotes are from other articles.
As for the song. Heh! They sound kind of similar guess, I can't really tell, but I was thinking they both give me a feeling of deja vu, so maybe there's someone out there who wrote the original song who will come out and accuse them both of plagerism. At least it's good publicity for them.

The melody and backup of that song is basically just a recycled, re-chord-structured version of "Speed of Sound", "Clocks", and "Hardest Part." Sure, it's stolen, stolen from every other song they've ever put out. I used to love them, and at this point I don't think they could write an original tune with a gun to their heads.

I have a feeling of deja-vu with every "new" Coldplay song that I hear. They're worse than Oasis for recycling their own music.

New candids of Chris performing at Carling Brixton Academy (June 16th, London).

I beg to differ. I may be a girl, but I know shit music when I hear it. I hate the attitude that women like crappy, soppy music while men like "rock 'n' roll". And I hate the Daily Mail, even though they hate Coldplay too.

I like two songs by Coldpay: Yellow and Politik. Then it just got redundant.

Couldn't stop laughing. linkAbove summary- most adequate and brilliant. Took the words right out of my mouth (if I was that clever, that is). The aura of Coldplay seems reeking of desperation to please, with the ultimate fabricated 'authentic' sound-a challenge they accept, cause they want to be U2, but pathetically hide under the faux "I don’t' give a fuck about shareholders' facade. The band knows how to use their instruments, and once in awhile (more often not) comes up with a pleasant melody. Chris Martin's act of climaxing on his self-imposed depression however (mostly regret that he's not Bono, or Jesus) drags the band down. Less stardom and more focus on sound would to them great, but not with Martin who wants to take over the world, with his Nancy Grace sense of justice. As if the vanity wasn't enough, he too often takes the dying cat route with the otherwise great voice. Anyone from AI could replace him just fine, while he should just STFU and play the piano.

I have to say after only a few listens of the new album I am not really feelin the love this time around. The only track I like is 'Viva la Vida' which as mentioned here is supposed to be a rip off of another song. It is the only song which has a bit of go in it. I do get the vibe on this album that they want to be U2 as it has the sounds of them in the early days (Unforgettable Fire era), plus I notice they have used Brian Eno who often produces U2's albums. I can't imagine alot of these tracks at a concert - people will be falling asleep. Maybe being married to GP has given Chris the miseries and it reflects on his songs. Lol!
