I feel a Robin and Paula reality show coming on. They don't have to worry about a reality show curse; they're already separated!

Hey, looks like someone figured out that his little gimmick for selling albums didn't work!

Oh this doofus! Here's hoping this confession comes back to bite him in the tush. Like Gaye's lawyers decide there's not quite enough similarities to continue the lawsuit... But then Pharell's lawyers decide this means that the bulk of the royalies will now come to Pharell... since Thicke by his own admission was just in the room drooling Vicodin flavored spittle while Pharell did all the work!

Also from TMZ: That'd explain a lot about the "Blurred Lines" period.

That was my first thought. Doesn't he make himself vulnerable in other ways with this admission? Even if it's ruled as having too many similarities, does that mean they get no royalties or only that they have to share with the Gaye estate? Either way, Pharrell can now point to Thicke's own statement to argue that he's the main songwriter. And this is by far Thicke's biggest hit. Yes, it's controversial. But I'm not sure flat out admitting that you basically had not much to do with the writing of your most successful song is such a great idea.

Insulting someone like Pharrell, who has made it a point to be magnanimous and friendly with anyone and everyone in order to solidify professional connections, is about as stupid as you can get. Talk about burning bridges! No one who is anyone in the music business will want to work with him. But then again, maybe Robin doesn't think it's possible to salvage his career and is desperately trying to hold onto the money he's made up to now.

Doesn't he make himself vulnerable in other ways with this admission? Putting aside the whole "Blurred Lines" situation-why would Robin put out there that he was basically high for most of an entire year? Isn't he going through divorce proceedings? Did he and Paula even settle on custody of their son? Either way, not cute. I read the lawyers succeeded in keeping the videotapes of this deposition private. So, maybe Robin may have benefited from copying that punk Bieber by claiming "I don't recall" (and leaving out that part about being high)!

I have never seen someone fall so hard so fast. Well, Ashlee Simpson but I can't think of anyone else.
What a tool.
