I don't know, it seems like a smart tactic to me. If he's claiming that he had no part in writing the song, then shouldn't he be off the hook for plagiarism?

He's boring, just like Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.

It also gets him off the hook for any songwriting credits, royalties or awards (though performance royalties and awards would still be his) And even though its not exactly fair, I'll forever be giving Alan Thicke stinkeye for spawning this chump... Again, not fair, but I was already giving him stinkeye for fake spawning Kirk Cameron!

I read an article about this and that line of questioning/answering was in response to some statements Thicke had made about how Marvin Gaye had inspired the song. If Pharrell never made any statements about Marvin Gaye inspiring the song, then it's somewhat savvy to pretend Pharrell was the sole creative force. It's not really throwing him under the bus when the situation benefits both of them. Pharrell actually awkwardly avoided saying Gaye was an influence during testimony.

I have never seen someone fall so hard so fast. Well, Ashlee Simpson but I can't think of anyone else. Two words: Vanilla Ice.

Someone like Bieber turning out to be a douche is at least kind of understandable because he got famous at such a young age. With Robin Thicke it's like, really? This guy had a decent career under his belt and was certainly old enough to know better when "Blurred Lines" hit. He is a true dumbass.

Total douchelord. I'm sorry for him if he has a substance abuse issue, but he can get help for that, and I hope he does if necessary. I don't know of any rehabs for douchelords.
