Emma Watson is also in the Noah movie and I would hope she had no interest in getting involved with him, but he is single now, and Sean Penn could pull hot twentysomething starlets...

Emma Watson is too good for him.
Jennifer Connelly? He tried to hit on her during the making of "A Beautiful Mind'. Plus, she has Paul Bettany, who she met on that set too. Jennifer Connelly is too good for RC too.
Russell needs a good, tough Aussie woman who would not put up with his shit..But then again, I heard that Danielle could hold her own when she was with him..

Yos - is she well known in her own right or is it just as Russell's (now ex) wife? I think her Dad was well known and I got the sense she thought or hoped her acting career would take off but it never did. It must have been kinda shocking for her when her turn ex bf became an A lister. I think she's mostly famous here for being Russell's wife. And until she did DWTS she was really very low key and under the radar. She didn't really do interviews or the party circuit. And she seemed fairly resigned to her music career not happening. That's why it was so weird when all of sudden she signed up for reality tv. It's just seemed so low rent for an A lister's wife and was probably a sign that things were up. For memory, she made a few comments on DWTS about wanting new challenges ... maybe those new challenges extended beyond the ballroom! Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if they worked things out. I think she's the love of his life and they've broken up and reunited before. And there's the kids too.

Russell Crowe and his wife have split according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Wow, I am more than surprised. I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did.

So it's like she decided to settle for a life she never wanted because of the money, and Russell decided to settle for an old girlfriend who he knew would put up with his flaws. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. I always assumed that Russell wanted refuge and stability after becoming a huge Hollywood star. I think a lot of people naturally gravitate towards the people who knew them before, as that's proof that they would still want to be with you even if you weren't a movie star. After Meg Ryan, he probably wanted a private life that was not of interest to gossip rags, too. Well, she'll always be poor, tragic, drug-addicted Callie from Pacific Drive to me...

He needed damage control and she needed money. Perfect match.

Well, she'll always be poor, tragic, drug-addicted Callie from Pacific Drive to me... Pacific Drive was the best! Now if they would just rerun it, along with Paradise Beach and Breakers, I would be one very happy, trashy beachside soap-watching bunny...

I guess "failed entertainer hot trophy wife to difficult/addict A-lister joins a reality show" is the new celebrity divorce trend.

My friend worked on the Next 3 Days, which was about 3 years ago now, and during the 3 months of the shoot, his wife and kids didn't visit once. So I'm surprised it lasted this long.

It seems to have been her decision[/color] to end the marriage.
