I have never seen the movie and I just laughed uncomfortably at that scene. Was that the typical reaction? I was lucky enough to see this in the theater. There was a moment of silence, then somebody snorted, then everyone just gave in to full blown laughter. Can confirm. My theater experience was the same, although it was a midweek matinee, so there were only about 10 of us there.

Tom Cruise jumping around being Tom Cruise in vampire costume was more distracting to me than Brad looking morose and pretty. Now that I think about it, Stephen Rea kind of sucks in that movie too. I don't care, it's a cheesefest but I still love it. Speaking of revelations, am I the only one who was blown away by Kirsten Dunst in Interview? Topic: I like Brad. I saw Meet Joe Black for Claire Forlani, but I liked Brad in it. That was some oscar bait bouncing. I was blown away by Antonio Banderas. My jaw dropped when I saw him for the first time. I like Brad Pitt just fine but I can’t think of one specific performance that knocks me out. I like him in comic roles.

Ah yes, Interview was my introduction to Antonio Banderas. He was scorching in that movie. Kirsten Dunst was also phenomenal.

Fun fact: Antonio didn't know any English when making Interview, so he learned all his lines phonetically. Back in the late 90s, I worked at a Blockbuster-esque video store. I remember me and my co-workers would play Meet Joe Black on the store's monitors, replay the car accident scene over and over and laugh our asses off. Good times!

Dude, I'm checking for Interview this weekend. One of my besties and I went to see it in the theater when it came out. I was in college at the same. I really liked it, but I'm pretty sure I haven't watched it since.

I just watched "Burn After Reading" yesterday--hadn't seen it since I saw it in the theaters, and I loved Brad's performance in it. He's a riot.

Ditto Interview with the Vampire - poor Louis. Brad Pitt owned '94 and '95. I was alive but tiny and man I wish I had been sentient (and a teenager) for 1994, because what a hell of a year in pop culture. Tonya and Nancy, OJ, Kurt Cobain, My So Called Life, and the Golden Age of Pitt. This was the year I graduated high school. It was quite a time.

I went to see Interview with the Vampire at the first showing on opening day. One of the film reels was wound wrong, so more than halfway through the movie it started playing upside down and backwards! It had been long enough we wanted to see what happened, so waited for probably half an hour while they re-wound the reel.
Worth it!
