Brad: "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't need all the details. He's one of the adopted ones and I haven't talked to him in years. But listen, Cindy, I need you to send a statement to People saying that I'm really concerned, ok? I've got the movie with Clooney coming out, and I need to look like I care."

Cindy: "Sure, Brad. No problem, I'll take care of it. I heard he's going to be ok, by the way."

Brad: "Oh, ok, maybe include that, you know I'm 'getting updates,' some shit like that."

Cindy: "Sure thing, boss."

I posted in Angelina Jolie's thread of a (bogus sounding) In Touch article claiming Brad's to blame for the accident.

I would hope she's truly not thinking that.

Brad being notified probably confirms my belief that the article is bunk.

I don't think Pax has seen Brad in at least five years, probably more, so I don't think Brad can be held responsible for his reckless driving.

Not surprising. I think all the kids are likely to drop his name at this point.

Funny enough, Jon Voight was an alcoholic abusive asshole too.

It's really been shocking to me to see that some people are so committed to Brad being the good guy that they've moved from just attacking Angelina as a junkie, whore, horrible mother who has a vendetta out for Brad, to now attacking the kids and claiming they're horrible people too.

I mean I used to like Brad a lot too and thought he made some interesting choices in his work. But they seem to have elevated him to Demigod status who can do no wrong. It's gross.

At the beginning of all of this, I had as much sympathy for Brad as I do for anyone struggling with substance abuse. I hoped he'd get better and repair his relationships with his children. But over the last 5-6 years or however long this divorce has been going on, his PR game has given him away. He's more concerned about repairing his public image than making true amends. And he lost me forever with that "he always wanted a daughter" thing. What a cold-hearted thing to say. I remember seeing pictures of him carrying little Zahara with a baby bottle in his back pocket.

I think it's highly likely and possible that both of the kids parents are people who have some significant flaws, and it has an impact on the kids. I don't think it's a case of there being one great parent and one terrible one. The entire foundation of their relationship started with selfishness and the actions of flawed people. Brad can be an a-hole and Angelina can still be self centered and not the second coming of Mother Theresa that her PR image has at times asked us to believe her to be.
