Aww, he's adorable. Plus, he allows me to feel justified in watching semi-crappy movies (i.e.: A Knight's Tale, Wimbledon) which is always a plus. He also looks like this awesome student teacher I had last year, which makes me love him even more. My only advice to him would be to be in more, less sucky movies. Heh.

I thought he was better than Russell Crowe in Master and Commander

Damn, I thought I was the only one who felt that way. Bettany completely walked away with the film. I also thought he came close to shoving Crowe off the screen in A Beautiful Mind, because his presence picked the movie up immeasurably.

Now, I like Paul Bettany. A lot. Enough to see a crap movie just because he's in it. Numerous times, even (Why yes Wimbleton, I am speaking of you. Don't pretend you didn't know what you are). Still, I can't manage to really get the attraction, physically speaking. Call me shallow, but the man needs eyebrows. I don't care if he dyes his pale eyebrows, gets some sort of hair transplant, or draws them in with a magic marker. He. NEEDS. Eyebrows. It's only because of Master and Commander that I'm able to understand why I'm not all that in to him. Physically speaking, of course, because he's the very definition of 'scene stealer.'

After seeing the trailer for The Da Vinci Code, I think that Paul bettany's Silas is the Hottest Albino Assassin Ever. I'd do him, eyebrows or not.

I haven't seen any Da Vinci Code stuff, but he looked pretty good in the trailer for the new Harrison Ford movie (Firewall, I think it is called). Paul is one of my favorite actors and one of those rare actors (like, say, Alan Rickman) who manages to make complete shit tolerable and even enjoyable.

He has been incredibly lucky in his career so far because he hasn't been cast to play the "foreign baddie" which is the fate of so many British actors who go to Hollywood (especially considering what a striking villan he made in Gangster No. 1). The fact that he is playing the bad guy in Firewall and The Da Vinci Code makes me nervous that he will get typecast after he did such a good job of not being typecast.
