Whether he's playing tennis in Wimbledon or fiddling around with Russell Crowe in Master and Commander, he's adorable, IMO. Talk about Paul Bettany, aka, A Knight's Tale's"Hot Naked Chauncer," here.

He was absolutely the best hot naked gambling-addicted Chaucer ever.
And the sole reason that A Knight's Tale is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Ah, Paul. I love him so much and have for many many years. It actually sort of irks me that people know who he is now. I liked it better when he was my obscure snarky husband. Oh well. I mean I'm happy he's become more popular but sigh. It brings out my possessive side.
I heard his back in Brideshead Revisited which I'm really happy about. Hope its good and he doesn't pull out again.

If you want vintage Bettany, check out the very last instalment of the Sharpe series. He plays Prince William of Orange and is absolutely hilarious.
And, you have the added hotness quotient of Sean Bean and Daragh O'Malley.

... is the sole reason I own A Knight's Tale (although I don't brag about that). One night I listened to the commentary with him and the guy who directed it, a friend of his, and he just comes across as so funny and sweet and nice that it made me melt. Go Paul! Of course, he's not that bad to look at, either.
I haven't seen Wimbledon yet because I'm mortally afraid of Dunst and thier age differences really squicked me out. Should I, or is it complete waste of my time?

Wimbledon is not great, but Paul has an adorable friendship with his german friend and it has its moments. I'd say worth a rental.

Was the best thing about Knight's Tale.
Just got notice that should be in my mailbox on Monday!
Now excuse me while I turn into a fangirl...

Paul Bettany comes accross as very smart and witty at times. I thought he was better than Russell Crowe in Master and Commander, a much better casting choice for Maturin than Crowe was for Aubrey.

What? What? There's a Sharpe installment that involves Sean Bean and Paul Bettany? At the same time?
*scampers off to Netflix*
Yeah, I love him. He just steals every scene he's in without even trying.
