Very strange Rodgers & Hammerstein parody by the South Park boys based on a legendary Colorado flesh-eater. Alfred Packer's horse Liane has abandoned him, and he find her even if it mean death for the drew he's leading to Brekenridge. Matt plays an idiot savant, minus the savant, while wearing a stupid hat. Trey plays a wounded innocent and spends the precedings simpering around the mountain side like a combination of Jesus and a puppy, while flashing his dreamy, blue saucer eyes. I'd put it beside Rocky Horror for camp musical fun.

I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show and would put it nowhere near this movie. Granted, I don't like South Park so the humor is mostly lost on me but the movie looks so damned cheap that I couldn't even finish watching it. Wasn't it released by Troma? That's a pretty good indicator of its quality.

Well, in their defense, it looks pretty cheap because it was made by a bunch of college students in between their classes (or in Trey's case, made while he should have been in class).
It is pretty stupid, but it still makes me laugh, and gosh darn it, so many of those songs are so catchy.
The thing that gets me the most is that the whole thing with Packer's horse, Leanne, is really all about Trey's former fiance - he caught her cheating on him. So that's why there's all those jokes about the horse running off and letting everyone ride her. But the thing that really gets me is that Leanne (the ex-fiance, not the horse) helped make the movie and choreographed the final dance number. Either Trey Parker is one charming bastard or she has an excellent sense of humor about herself to get involved in a movie that's basically an excuse for her ex-fiance to trash her.

I love this movie! The whole Leanne story is pretty funny-I never knew that. I'll take this over the over-rated RHPS any day.
Has anyone noticed that the tune they play after the SP credits has the same melody as one of the songs? The one that has the lyrics:
"...my hear is full as a baked potato! I think you know exactly what I mean, when I say it's a (?) day!"

Schpadoinkle day! "The sky is blue and all the leaves are green . . . "
I love this movie. If you get a chance, watch it with the director's commentary. Trey, Matt and a few other guys from the film sit around getting drunk and talking about the movie. It's great for insider information like the Leanne background. Plus, they end up getting so drunk that the audio commentary drops out around "Let's Build A Snowman" and then comes back 10 minutes later. It's almost like they had to sober up a bit.
For some reason "You're a butcher, now butch!" is my favorite line.

Whenever I think of this movie, I think of that 'Snowman' song where some poor guy gets a squib blown on the back of his head. Singlehandedly the funniest scene in a Troma flick ever.
And I love the tagline "It's like Friday The 13th, Part Two and OKLAHOMA!"

I love the Nihon-jin indians (Nihon-jin meaning "Japanese people"), especially their chief who was also in Orgazmo.
"Who are you, asshooooles?" "Ten days ago, a group of assholes, like yourselves..." "Those crazy trappers..."

The sun's as warm as a baked potato.
I recently saw this movie and loved it. Very different, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone can do no wrong in my book. Honestly, a musical about cannibalism? Brilliant.

Can someone please explain this joke to me? I've seen this film at least 6 times and I never know what he's doing here. He's already got a beard and a mustache, so what does he do?
