Ended up seeing the matinee today, and boy, it's pretty intense at some parts. The make-out scene just looked so awkward.

Not sure where in Europa you are Augustus (England?), but how was it overall? Where would you put it in the ranking of best to worst? I've read a lot of reviews saying that it just feels incomplete without the second half. |

I'll be seeing this tomorrow night (in English, thank God, the German translation is terrible, starting with Hermione being known as "Hermine"). A few of my students went to a preview yesterday and came back with mixed reactions. Still looking forward to it.

I've read a lot of reviews saying that it just feels incomplete without the second half. Dutch shores here.  One scene in the movie made a guy in front of me literally jump from his seat. Heh. Hmm, yes, it does feel very incomplete, so it's quite hard to judge it overall. As is, good. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. |

Thanks Augustus. Just one more thing [  ], I was just watching a tv spot, and saw the Death Eater stopping the train. Do we get to see Luna taken off the train? Any sign of badass Neville? Are the other members of the DA in the movie at all? ETA: I know this is ridiculous, I will seeing the movie in less than 12 hours. |

I just watched it and I don't know how to feel about it. It was so different and Hermoine focused and they just eliminated a bunch of important things like Dudley saying goodbye to Harry, Dumbledores' history, Kreacher telling them about looking for the horcrux, Krum confronting Xenophillious about the mark, Harry's bday.UGH!

So Kloves' hard-on continues to rage unabated? Nice. As far as Dumbledore's history, I have minor, yet fleeting hope, that they save it for the second movie. Am I being too hopeful? Probably.  So what was the point of splitting the movie in two again?  And if it ends up that the Pink Ranger cuts off Nagini's head in Part II, I will fly to wherever, and cut. a. bitch. Nonsensical flourishes and insertion of fevered daydreams I will gruntingly live with, screwing over Neville, I will not. |
