The savior of the epic genre after a disappointing '04? The first reviews I've seen have mostly ranged from good with reservations to high praise.
I love epics but didn't dare hope this would be good. The exclusive online trailer and clips, together with the reviews, now make this my most awaited film of the summer. The supporting cast has class and even Orlando Bloom seems to be on his way to the best reviews of his career. It's a month till it's released and admittedly it's too early to say for sure what the final critical reception will be, but I want to be optimistic for now.

I know I probably shouldn't be all that excited about a big epic starring Orlando...but damn, I can't help it!

They had me ever since they spilled about Orli's chest rug. So very there - and this is from a person who should have learned her lesson after attending all of 2004's big epic stinkbombs. If I can't learn after Troy, King Arthur, and Alexander, there's no hope for me.

I saw the trailer before "Phantom" and almost went into overload from too much pretty. I usually don't like Orlando as he's a little too pretty but damn if he doesn't look rugged and hot in this.
My butt will be in the theater on opening weekend. I so hope this is good because I really want to see a good epic style movie.

I am a very big fan of Orlando's (he is my number one celebrity crush) but I didn't really get excited about this movie until I saw some of the stills from it. I will definitely be there, first in line, on May 6th and probably many days afterwards. Have you seen the stills from the love scene with Eva Green? Rawrrrr!!

Hi, my name is lyrasilver, and I'm addicted to epic movies. I haven't learned my lesson either.
I cannot wait for KOH. I really almost lost it when I saw Orlando kiss his sword in the trailer. I know, I know, but he's just so freakin' pretty. Here's hoping he'll actually pull out all the stops and do some acting in this one.

I just don't think Orlando has what it takes to carry a movie like this. However, several of his co-stars (Liam Neeson and Jeremy Irons immediately spring to mind) do and they might outshine him in their supporting parts. Orlando has the looks but I just don't know if he has the charisma (or, frankly, the talent) to pull off the lead in a huge, summer epic. I like Orlando but think he might not be cut out to be the next Russell Crowe.
Of course, I will still see it. It looks interesting and I am curious to see how Ridley Scott and co. tackle the Crusades (obviously, they will play fast and loose with history, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested).

I'm anxiously awaiting this movie's arrival in the local cinema. Hate me but I like Orli. And I'm a sucker for historic dramas. And geez, Liam too? I'm there!

Once agian Liam is playing the father of a wimpy guy. Its hard for me to believe big, strapping Liam would father Orlando, Leo or Edward Furlong.
