I loved it. It stuck with me long after it was over. Jim Carrey is briiliant in this movie.

Love this movie! Not a fangirl of Jim Carrey before (well, I was when he was In Living Color - his Venus de Milo just cracked me up!) but I digress. Love this movie!!! The second viewing was even better. I can truly say all the actors were impressive here - especially Ms. Winslet, JC and and Mark Ruffalo.
What I liked the most was in the story line, how Joel loves Clementine so much he finds her even after both their memories are erased.

Loved it.
Best sci-fi movie I've seen in a while...simply because it didn't degenerate into a stupid action movie.
Best rom-com...because, in the end, JC and KW didn't act like fate brought them together and it was all blahblahfatecakes and they were all blahblahhappyeverafter.
Favorite moment..."Please, let me keep this one..." And she disappears under the blanket. I swear I got a tear for that moment. The man IS a damn fine actor when given the right role.

I was surprised by how much I liked JC in this movie. And Kate, as always, owned her character completely. I disliked Clementine and felt sorry for her at the same time. Kate does a good job! This movie made me like Mark Ruffalo (after In the Cut made me want to soak him in lavender-scented water until I cleansed him of his skeeviness).

I usually can't stand Jim Carrey. But this movie, Man on the Moon, and his bits in In Living Color more than make up for all the crap he has done. (Ace Ventura, I'm looking at you!)
This is one of those movies that I enjoy watching over and over. Kate is wonderful (when ISN'T she wonderful? Le sigh.) The whole cast is wonderful. It's one of those movies that I catch something different upon each viewing.

I think Kate did a good job as an actress, but if Clementine was a real person, God I wouldn't be able to stand her.
I still liked the movie though. It was voidy. The kind of movie you can watch while you're strung out on some kind of drug.

I couldn't suspend my belief enough to really enjoy it. If a company really offered memory-erasing services, it would be immediately world famous, not some obscure little operation that people suddenly stumble onto.
And expecting friends and relatives of the patients to go along with it by just sending them a single letter?
Of course, Being John Malkovich had even less probable stuff. But that was an Alice-in-Wonderland fantasy world, whereas Sunshine was apparently supposed to function like the real world.

This movie was terrible I thought. Poorly put together, boring story, everything about it was irritating. Somehow I think that if they'd had someone other than Jim Carrey it would have been bearable too. It just bored me to tears.

After months this movie still haunts me. I hesitate renting it because a good part of the charm was the unusual application of special effects (I don't get how this wasn't nominated for at least one - was it?).
Can anyone who's seen it in both formats compare?

I felt like an idiot during this film. My friend had to keep explaining it to me, cause I just didn't get it.
