I love this guy, almost as much as I love his movie choices (a few regrettable ones in the catalogue, but overall, he's pretty stellar).

The only gossip I've got is second-hand, from a friend who was an extra on "21 Jump Street" wayyyy back when it was being done in Vancouver. She said she was hanging out on the sidelines and waiting for her cue. Some guy came up and started talking to her. They banter a bit and she asks, "So what do you do?" He says, "I'm Johnny Depp," and, according to her report, was mildly affronted, or just surprised that she didn't know who he was.

Anyway, seeing what he went through and what he went on to years later makes me like him. He's always one of the coolest actors I can think of in terms of movie choices and characters. Not so much lust, but definitely a solid respect.

I think it's the kerchief around his head -- that's a weird old-man look. ;D And he's leaning forward here. His pecs look fine when he's standing up straight. Nothing wrong with looking like a hot 40-year-old guy!

Someone was speculating on what a female Johnny Depp would be? One idea of mine is Janeane Garofalo, but she just doesn't have quite the charisma and not quite the good-enough looks. And to go in a completely different direction, Madonna once might have been a contender in this regard, but whereas JD does what he wants with no apologies, it seems vitally important to Madonna that everyone IN THE WORLD know exactly what she's thinking at the moment, and that deletes many coolness points.

It's quite possible he's in a realm of his own. His very own. One of a kind.

It's been a long time since I've seen him in his civilian clothes - At first I thought that Johnny's gone crazy. I like to think that he let Jack and Lily-Rose pick out this outfit for the plane ride. Or, at the very least, are responsible for the pink teddie and blankets hanging off of the backpack.

I have loved Johnny forever, Ok ever since 21 Jump Street.Looking at those pictures I think he has still got it and I would run away with him but I bet if I ever saw him in person walking down the street I would think Look at that poor homeless drunk man grab my kids and cross the street.
